A bunch of MFP people ran the Savannah RnR we hung out together, stayed together...and 2 of my mfp pals who finished earlier than I did- found me jumped back in the race and we all finished the race together (some for the second time!). A bunch of us are meeting in Chicago for the RnR half there, and Philly...I love my MFP…

Hey y'all...My name is Nan, I just completed my first half on Sunday with my 15 yr old daughter- who is a FAST (lightening FAST) runner- but who chose to run with me. I am a slow runner and will most likely always be pretty slow- since I have some paralysis in my legs. I love to run there is nothing like it. My fav…

Unless you are using a food scale and measuring everything that goes in your mouth you are likely eating many more calories than you think you are. I think very few, if any of us here, who are here to lose weight, got here by eating 1200 calories a day, I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden anyone is having an…

These two things are completely different. The Bridge 2 10K app is an app that helps you train over time to run continuously for a 10K. The Galloway is for people who follow the Galloway principals of running...which is running along with walking breaks for recovery(intervals), and brings them to the 10k distance. Which…

I'll be there. My training is off because I am injured...I'll finish- but it isn't going to be pretty. :-( Lots of mfpers are going.

The trick to the low sodium is to TOAST it- it changes the taste of the bread dramatically, it becomes very nutty and full of flavor. And Ezekiel bread is worth it...for your health. I am not a HUGE raisin lover...so I do not often buy the cinn/rais but I have and have enjoyed it. I just buy the regular for sandwiches. So…

my daughter is a classical ballet student...she trains hard...to the point of sweating through her leos 2 or three times aday...in 5-7 hours of classes and burns about 240 cals. It is not huge cardio burning exercise.

Two weeks before weigh in isn't the time to start worrying about it. Five months ago would have been better. You aren;t going to lose 34 pounds or 10% in 2 weeks.Good luck though..

Your body should tell you. My daughter goes 400 I can only go 250....she is lighter than I am, and I have more aches and pains. My shoes start telling my right achilles tendon right about 250 miles.

I run nothing but low grade hills they are high hills but some are long...and they are killer- but they make you strong quick! So I like them! I have one steep hill I use for a hill run...fun but killer.

You have done SO well! I am really proud of you my friend! You support me and encourage me everyday and I hope I have helped you in return! You are going to murder that Half marathon!!!! Well done Rev...well DONE!

well....I signed up when I wasn't, my husband was gainfully employed and things were less stressful. I can tough it out if we need to finish. But if it is too much for anyone- just say the word and that will be the incentive I need to yell..."screw this..." and JUMP SHIP! :-D Always leave it to Nan to be bluntly honest!

Oh so brilliant!
-
alrighty... PS my running mileage this week will be like 22-23....so yeah Im not so concerned about the running on the days of the challenge.

Okay folks... The bad news is...I'm dying...okay well maybe not, but I FEEL like I am dying. The good news is...Im going to drop a few pounds this month--as soon as I am over the flu. I will definitely have a shaky start...but don't worry, y'all know I am a warrior and I will bust it out! Mooseeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I need you to…

Clean eating isn't a "plan" or a diet- it is simply a change in lifestyle. It also means many different things to many different people. You might want to look at thegraciouspantry.com for ideas and recipes.

I started with C25k...I used the app on my phone. I couldn't run at all...but I worked into it after walking for awhile. I found the progressive building week after week REALLY increased my ability to breath and become fitter. Every week I hit those milestones. The best thing about it is you can repeat a week if you want!…

I am inspired by you. We do not have the same goals...but what you are doing is AMAZING. This was very well written and I support you 100%. (I am tired of so many negative comments on MFP) Good luck to you.
