Just did 1RM on Saturday... Squat - 180 lbs Deadlift - 205 lbs I have been lifting for 2.5 months, so I am pretty happy!

Weighed in at 176. Thats a gain, but I think my number was off last week. I'm happy with this!

So I'm not sure if my body is going crazy or if it's my scale. I weighed in yesterday at 173. I would be ecstatic about this number, except for that is a 5.5 lb loss in one week... I'm pretty sure my scale is off. It's an electronic scale, maybe the batteries are going dead? I weighed again this morning at 173.5. Thoughts?…

I bought the Polar FT4 for about $80 at Sports Authority a week or two ago. I really like it so far, it has the chest strap for continuous monitoring. Seems to be pretty accurate too. I'd definitely recommend it.

Ugh, gained 0.5 lb this week, weighed in at 178.5. A little discouraging, but hopefully I can lose that and more by next week.

with FT4 do you have to register your heartrate by pressing buttons, or does it keep changing your heartrate automatically as your heartrate fluctuates............. thank you for your help. [/quote] It has a chest band and automatically updates :)

I just got a Polar FT4 this past weekend. I've used it a couple times, and it's great! The chest band is pretty comfy and it seems to be pretty accurate on the calorie count. I'm about ready to commit to one in August! It's a 1/2 mile swim, 11 mile bike and a 5k. I've already started training for the swimming, I hear that is the hardest part. I'm a strong swimmer and was on the swim team in high school, but definitely need to get back into it. I think it will be a lot of fun!
