And just like that....in 24 hours....4 pound gain is gone. Cue the Twillight Zone theme. Lol Thanks for the encouraging words!

Thank you! Very informative!

[/quote] I don't say this to be a negative Nancy but to give you a frame of reference - I have pretty similar stats to you. I went from 145 to now @ 130. It took me over a year to lose that 15 lbs. When you are already in a healthy weight range, it is really hard to eat low enough calories to lose more than half pound per…

I am. I am always on the scale on Monday mornings before breakfast. You know...I've only owned a scale for the past 5 years or so. I rarely weighed myself when I was in my 20s (my weight was so stable) and I only started weighing myself regularly in work (at the school nurse's office) in my 30s when I was sick and losing…

I hear ya. The 6.2 was over two weeks. But yeah...big change.
-
Ugh! I hear ya. A 4.2 loss my first week was HUGE, but I wasn't too shocked. My eating habits were awful during much of November and December. I hate to be graphic, but constipation was an ongoing thing at that time. I was really eating so poorly....and not just snacking...but having crummy rushed meals of whatever I could…
-
Thank you. I appreciate that. Trust me...I didn't expect a LOSS this week. Maybe stay the same....or gained a pound....but 4.2???? Yikes

Central NJ here. 30" of snow. How many calories in wine?
-
Challenging weekend. 30 inches of snow blanketed much of New York and New Jersey. Good news? Burned a ton of calories shoveling snow. Bad news ? In the Blizzard of 2016 you're gonna be drinking some wine! But....I did okay with food and today was back on track!
-
Mmmmmm. Chinese food! Glad you got back on track and didn't beat yourself up about it. I admire everyone with their motivation to exercise. Mine is out the window !!!!! How do you do it ?!
-
Doing it and doing it and doing it well. Except the exercise. Blahhhh. Super lazy lately

Week 3 and I have been the worst at posting here. Week 2 didn't go quite the way I wanted it to but I logged in everything and kept myself calorie accountable. I was great with that and the water, but exercise really didn't happen. My husband worked doubles all week and I SHOULD HAVE done it anyway .... But I was…

Well...days 6 and 7 were not very good but 8 and 9 were great! Came in under calorie goal, drank my 100oz of water both days. Worked out today. Feeling fabulous!
-
Day 5 and 6 were not good at all. Weekends are impossible ....especially when you have the RARITY of babysitters and can go to a restaurant. Back on track today. The GOOD NEWS is that I am down 4 pounds since my starting weigh in on 1/4!!!!!!
-
Day 5 (yesterday) wasn't great at all but I logged everything and took my lumps. Day 6 I hope is better...date night with hubby. Might be tough. We will see. Wish me luck!
-
Day 4 in the books. I logged everything. I stayed within calorie range, which is good news. Drank my 100oz Tomorrow will be an exercise day. When week 2 starts I will add in a 4th exercise day. Keep it going guys! Kim

Day 3 in the books! Logged everything....drank my 100 oz...and did 45 minutes of cardio. Unfortunately I still didn't make calorie goal. 38 calories over.
-
Okay. Day 2 done. Finished under my calories...but only by a few. I also drank my 100 oz of water. Tomorrow will be a workout day. Woo hoo!!!!!!
-
Not too bad. Went over by 150 calories though. But....I'm about to bust that off on the treadmill.
-
I'm in. 3 weeks ! 1) Logging every bite everyday 2) 100 oz of water per day 3) 30 minutes of cardio at least 4 times each week

Hi Madaly: You sound so very depressed. It's hard to get started. I truly believe that is the absolute hardest mountain to climb over. Getting started, and then staying with it. I understand both depression and Celiac Disease. I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2006 when I was 95 pounds soaking wet and convinced I was…

I'll be 44 in July....I'm also a Kim 1971...lol. I have about 8 more pounds to lose out of the 15 I wanted to get rid of. Not too bad. But at this stage of my life I am finding it harder and harder to shed any pounds. Hormones....? Perimenopause...? I also have celiac disease, so on top of journaling and counting calories…
