It will be laproscopic. It's being removed because of gall stones and daily attacks (everything sets it off - even fruit). I was told to eat a low/no fat diet until the surgery to lessen the attacks. I have read the same - some people can eat whatever and others have to be extremely careful.

Slow down! I speed walk faster than I "run" my 5K's. You'll be amazed at how far you can go if you slow your pace.
