  • It would be helpful to have your stats - (height, weight, activity level) in order to help answer your query! Edit - great minds...
  • Finally someone else with the same pattern as me! Everyone talks about TOM being the heaviest because of water retention but I find I gain a bit in the week before but lose it all back and then some at TOM! Thanks for posting - nice not to feel quite so abnormal!
  • I'm 5'10 and was over 15stone at my heaviest in February (before I started mfp), nobody had any idea I was so overweight because of my height - when I told them how much I weighed they didn't believe me! I am now 13st10 (192lb) and want to get down to 12 stone (168lb).
  • I've lost 1cm off my horrible thighs. Best cm ever!
  • If the MFP reccomendations are working for you over the next few weeks I'd suggest sticking with them rather than dropping them any lower. If it ain't broke...
  • The white sauce was what I found let down the HD's recipe, so I'll give your method a shot next time! The programme was very keen to show them visiting doctors and at one stage when their weightloss doctor suggested that their blood pressure had reduced there was a real emphasis placed on seeing their GP first, which I…
  • I forgot to say earlier - the masala chicken is awesome and the meat and potatoe pies are to die for (less impressed by the lasagne). Recipes are both at www.bbc.co.uk/hairydieters if you want to try without forking out for the book!
  • You've exceeded fat and protein today so keep doing what you're doing with that! Do try to eat all of your calories for the day if you're only on 1200 though to make sure you're getting enough micro nutrients. If you regularly cook the same things from scratch you can add recipes (Food tab, recipes) which you can then…
  • I really liked the Hairy dieters series and have bought the book. I suspect that they were on such low calories as they were working on a quick loss in a short time limit and were both very high in body fat. Will it be sustainable at this rate? No. But it might just be that the psychological impact of having lost weight…
  • Not true - if you're in starvation mode your body adapts and makes you less hungry. Please read the links if you havent already! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/3047-700-calories-a-day-and-not-losing http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/777-why-is-starvation-mode-so-bad
  • Fruit and veg contain calories too, if you're eating a lot of them and not logging them you could be going over your target cals without even realising. LOG EVERYTHING !
  • "Thank you NyimaR, I like the idea of soup, are you talking about the ones in the bag at the Supermarket that you make? Not sure what Fresh ones you mean? Thanks " Anything that is kept in the chiller is usually fairly good (obviously some brands better than others - just have a look at the ingredients particularly salt…
  • I hae a goal of losing 10lb for a friend's wedding in October. But I know it's pretty ambitious and is mostly a vanity thing...
  • Try soup for a filling lunch. Apparently, because the liquid is mixed thoroughly with the other constituents it stays in your stomach longer and keeps you feeling full. Homemade gives you the opportunity to really monitor what goes in it, but the 'fresh' (i.e. not tinned) ones you can get in supermarkets can be pretty good…
  • I often get night sweats as part of my PMS symptoms. Usually for one or two nights a month. I also get them if I've had a large meal near to bed time.
