Life without cheese will not work for me, neither will life without potatoes. I believe that as long as you're using moderation and staying within your calorie goals, you should be able to eat some of the things that you want to eat...

If you really don't have any options about what the choices for food are, maybe you could eat less of the food. Maybe you could ask your dad to pick up some fruits and veggies too? Maybe he would be supportive of your healthy goal.

My problem is that I get into this "all or nothing" mentality. So, if I mess up and have a meal at McD's or wherever, then I feel like "oh well, I've blown it anyway", and I'll just eat more junk. I need to be able to make a mess up just be an "isolated incident"!

I am new to MFP as of today. Have tried Weight Watchers (lost 25lbs last go round) but can't afford $20 per month right now. This seems similar (and in some ways better) so far, I am pumped because I can already tell it will help with accountability!
