I can relate - my body betrayed me as well. A colleague of my regular doctor recommended this site to me as well - It was really great to see her a month or so later and tell her how well things were going.

Active.com has some great free training plans. I follow John'The Penguin" Bingham - his plan and motivation is good for beginners. The long training run is when you need to make sure your fuel is right especially as you get up in mileage. I am by no means an expert but I have been blessed with amazing coaches and support.…

A nutritionist is a great idea! Also check out the American Diabetes Association website www.diabetes.org they have lots of information there. My husband is diabetic and his doctor made him go to a nutritionist to learn how to control it with diet and exercise so he didn't have to take insulin. We are all here ot support…
