I've heard horror stories from all insurance carriers. I used to have BCBS and had a few problems but I have insider info that they may be pure evil...hehe. I have Aetna now and haven't had problems but I have only had them for 7 months...but they cover more for me personally than BCBS did.

There are some online, this one has tons by a super buff hot lady hehe http://www.bodyrock.tv/

Pretty good news from the doc, and don't let that scale fool ya, you can do it. It might also be a difference in scales...like for me, I know that on my scale right now, I'm 164. But if I weighed on another scale, I might be 162 or 167. But I've been weighing on on MY scale, so my ups and downs are according to that one. I…

Just wanted to make a note on the arm pains and what weight to use...I completed day 5 this morning so that's where I am. Here's what I did: 1st day: used 8 lb. weights (have fairly strong upper body from years of softball) and did full pushups 2nd day: was dying and used a low level resistance band; did half-assed girl…

In September 2009 she wrote this: "I started to take my fitness seriously about a year ago and I am still not where I would like to be." I am assuming that she was in pretty decent shape before taking her fitness seriously, but that's still pretty amazing. Just look at her!

I woke up late today but still completed day 5 of level 1. Feeling pretty good about it :-) Yesterday my boyfriend patted my butt and commented that he thinks it's getting firmer hehe. Not sure if that's true, but it was nice to say!

I burn 250-300 doing the Shred and that's like 25 minutes, so if you're doing something more intense for an hour...maybe? That seems pretty incredible though, are you just dripping sweat and totally exhausted at the end?
-
Ouch, that looks great haha. I think I'll start on this after I finish my 30 day shred :)

I'm starting day 5 of level 1 tomorrow, can I still join? :-) These were my stats when starting: CW: 165 Neck: 13 Waist: 32 Hips: 42 Largest part of legs: 44 Thighs: 25 Upper arm: 13 Forearm: 9.5 Calf: 14.5

I'm in love. This makes the most sense to me :-) I study forensic evolutionary psychology so that may be why this paragraph stuck out the most hehe, but the post was great. Thank you.

It makes sense to me, on the elliptical I usually burn 100 calories/10min. on average. The shred is a full body workout, so burning almost as much as on the elliptical in half an hour seems about right. As long as you're pushing it and breaking a good sweat throughout, I think this is accurate.

I have HRM and started the shred 2 days ago. I'm 5'4, weigh about 165 and I'm 23. I burn about 250 calories doing the shred, starting at the warm up and ending after the cool down, roughly 27 minutes. The first day I burned 300 calories but I was using 8 lb. weights (all I have!). I used a resistance band yesterday and…

Alright, having Banks promote something like this is making me investigate and research more...hehe. I told my boyfriend about it and he is psyched. He does parkour and his workouts are usually very intense, but not done as regularly as he'd like. I think this sort of thing is right up his alley...and maybe mine. I will…

On my profile it says "Bringing sexy back..." haha

This pops up on MFP nearly every day. Please look through the Push-pinned posts under the General section of the forums. Mainly, this post should help: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/10589-for-those-confused-or-questioning-eating-your-exercise-calo In the short: yes, eat your exercise calories. If you look at the…

I notice on a lot of people's diaries (who are losing weight and thus interest me hehe) that some people are barely getting 2 or 3 veggies in each day. And some don't get any! They have chips and granola bars, but no vegetables! And then for fruit, maybe some people count a yogurt as a fruit...but a lot of people who are…

Mrs. G-it was my first time on the Shred yesterday too! And I'm sore too hehe. I plan on doing it again when I get home from work, but it's looking like I have to stay a little late at the office so I know I will want to just bum when I get home. But it's just half an hour, we can figh through it and keep going!

I'm not Catholic but I'll jump in to be supportive and have people who are also struggling with me :-) I am going to give up excuses for not working out every day. I am a master excuse maker. Unfortunately, I'm a master bull****-caller as well so I know that my excuses are bunk deep down. No more! I will work out every…

Yay! Thanks you!

Hehe I love that this was bothering other people as well. It's not as though I don't "friend" and support those who may misuse the English language, but a certain part of my brain twitches when I read botched sentences. This post was just me ranting and spreading the word a little. I have never corrected someone's post…

If you're interested in barefoot workouts but don't want to be barefoot in gyms or outside, check out the vibram five fingers. http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/indexNA.cfm I have a pair and wear them when I run, but use shoes on the elliptical. I used them a lot during outside workouts for softball (when not wearing…

My name's Christina and I live and work in DC. I graduated in May 2009 and hit my peak weight during my summer unemployment. After getting a job, I've slowly lost some of the weight but most of it has stuck. I want to get rid of it and then some! Heaviest weight: 174 Current weight: 165/167 Goal weight: 135 Goal for 2/10…

My HRM has the chest strap that is supposed to be fairly accurate...my resting heart rate is about 70 but I'm at 82 right now while working and typing. I put it on again today around 8am and it's 11:30 now, and I've supposedly burned about 700 calories...it's set to my height and weight and all that. When I wore it during…

I'm also vegetarian :-) My snack ideas: *Cottage cheese with sliced strawberries/chopped pineapple/fruit in general *String cheese *Snack pack pudding/a yogurt *100 calorie kettle/popcorn bags *Sliced veggies with hummus (red peppers, celery, baby carrots) *Wheat toast with nutella/peanut butter *Oatmeal (generally have a…

I haven't taken a class. Is it the sort of DVD you'll feel ridiculous doing by yourself? I know I borrowed a vinyasa flow yoga DVD from a friend and there was so much weird jumping around (it was a more advanced level than I'm comfortable with) that I felt dumb and just did stuff half-heartedly to get through it.

I bought the Polar F4 from Amazon today for $69 after doing some research this weekend. It seems like a basic, yet reliable one. I'll do a review of it after I've had a chance to break it in

Whoo! I'm so ready for this month. I am nearly all moved in to the new apartment and have found times when the gym isn't crowded. And our furniture is on coasters on the wood floors so I can just scoot the table out of the way to do DVD workous and Wii Active :-) Plus I ordered a HRM this morning. Let's do this! February…

I ordered my Polar F4 this morning! I'll be recording what I burn after I get mine, but that could take a week. Congrats on burning so much this week already, and good luck on meeting your 3000 goal!
