I bought a twin-size bed foam topper thing and put that on top of the carpet - it helps cushion things for me. Don't give up, and good luck!

Thank you for saying this - I am in the same "snacking" boat, and thought I was alone. I'm very new at MFP, and also find that my nighttime snacking is more under control. I find that I'm making more filling choices, and eating less. Thank you!!

For me, MFP is helping me really see how what I eat coincides with how I feel. Give yourself a break! Breathe, know you can do this, and don't add to your stress by being down on yourself. That being said, while on the phone, try standing, pacing, walking, doing lunges, stand on one foot while depending on your core for balance, or just breathe deeply.
