  • I'm 5'7'' (172 cm). I started here at 210 lbs (95 kg). Now I am 159 lbs (72 kg). That means 51 lbs lost. Do I feel different? Most times I don't. Still got big thighs, a big belly, so big calves that make me don't want to wear nothing but long pants and maxi skirts/dresses. Sometimes I feel even worse because I think that…
  • I eat my workout calories back and I still am on track with losing weight after more than a year. I do not count long walks or cleaning as exercise. I use MFP estimates, but I am carefull of the intensity I log. If I don't feel like faiting after working out, it's definetly not logged as circuit training. If I…
  • Right now I'm around 160 lbs and I'm a 40/42 euro dress size (12/14 US size, 14/16 UK if I were to trust converter websites).
  • Two words: tail bone. I hate it when I sit, I hate it when I do ground exercises. Althought I guess it doesn't pop-up as bad... I feel that it seems better over time. I guess that I'm not used to sit on a less fat *kitten*.
  • Not knowing how to portion my food. My diet was not that bad all in one. I didn't east at fast food, I was eating salads, lots of veggies, mostly cooked food. But I was somedays eating 1000 calories only from almonds/peanuts. I was putting tons of cheese on some meals. I would eat two full of fat sausages with one meal or…
  • I also recommend Subway. You can pick sandwich, wrap or salad so you won't get borred easily (but you'll get bored eventually). You can also try restaurants a couple of times (it would be more expensive than fast food, thought); most restaurants have basic salads, veggie dishes and grilled meat so there are low cal…
  • A cheat meal is a meal very rich in calories in my opinion. A big lunch containing one slice of pizza and a salad is just another lunch of a great day. It can be easily fitted in ones calories. A whole big pizza... well that's a cheat meal.
  • 450 calories breakfast. One serving of ouef en cocotte plus 2 slices of whole bread with smoked salmon and Philadelphia light spread. Yum! Yum! Yum! Caesar salad with homemade dressing. The whole salad was 200 calories. Big bowl of greek yogurt with chunks of strawberries and some rye flakes.
  • The thing is that most things in life require some kind of discipline and counting. We have tasks at work that we allocate certain days/hours/minutes. We count our days of hours spent at work, hour allocated for housework, family, friends. We (should) control our sleeping hours and rest hours. It's great from time to time…
  • Linguini pasta with sour cream and smoked salmon sauce. 450 calories and no regrets. Potato and caulliflower soup, enriched with some smoked dried sausage, garnished with pickles. 270 calories a bowl and yummy.
  • I just browse recipies site occasionally and save the recipies I like. I have a digital document where I add them and use them. I have a weekly shopping list, I decide what recipies I want to cook, add the ingredients on my list and there I go. To make meals to have a certain number of calories I juggle with ingredients…
  • I found on a friday afternoon MFP, I set my goal, logged what I have eaten that day, had a small dinner and that was it. It is no other way (from my point of view). I didn't prepare anything that time, I just did it. I didn't throw anything, just controlled me to eat less. If I would have waited for Saturday morning or…
  • Heck, I'm 5'7 and I'm losing at 1800 calories. I know that aiming a great weekly loss, like 2-3 lbs a week. But if your not morbidly obesse, loosing at a smaller constant rate, like 1 lbs per week is more advisable, even health wise. Also, you are less likely to binge or get back to bad habbits when the `1200 calories`…
  • Homemade BLTs Craved some french fries. So I got some potatoes, a small chicken breast, cooked them with a little oil in a good non-stick pan (mostly they were boiling in their own juice). Big bowl of lettuce and the whole meal didn't go more than 450-500 calories. Potato salad with bacon, eggs, onion and…
  • To be helpful without being pushy. I want to feel she is available to me / us (for ordering), without feeling she is non-stop near (I need intimaticy while I eat... at least a little  ). I don't understand why waiters/waitresses should smile and be joyfull. A normal attitude, polite, well-mannered is more than…
  • At the moment I am taking: Hair health complex: with biotin, and all kinds of B vitamins, vitamine D, cystine, zinc, and so on. I always use Forcapil, because it's the only product that really helped me with my hair loss. I use these supplements for 3 months with 3 months pause. Magnesium: for stress at work and boosting…
  • Well... at a moment I eat more or less the same amount of calories as I would need at maintenance (but at my current weight the same amount of calories is a deficit). So I guess I would eat more or less the same as now. I don't have a food that I liked and didn't eat during the time I was here on MFP. I just eat smaller…
  • Buy a nice thick pilates mat. Also buy some workout clothes that protect your back a little. I didn't get bruised, but at first Pilates did hurt my spine (rolling like a ball was pure hell), but I got a thicker mat at that helped. Also, standing Pilates would be an alternative.
  • One of the best NSVs I have is going to stores, trying clothes I think I can finally fit in... and I'm a size smaller than I thought. This week I was looking for jeans... size 44... it's big. In some cuts of jeans even 42 was a little bit loose. The bad part is that I didn't find the perfect jeans yet. Also, I met with a…
  • 73.7 kg (162 lbs) and I wear jeans size 42 (euro size, in US size it would be a 10). For blouses I wear L size if I want something more fitted and XL if I want something more loose. Forgot to mention, I'm 5'7''.
  • Well... I couldn't fit in workout everyday. Some weekdays I would go to a theather or concert after work and I would get late at home... skipping workout. Some weekend days I would spent with a friend just talking for hours, going out to a movie... from morning to evening... skipping workout. And so on. There are days that…
  • Thin bread (from Ikea), chicken with mushrooms in homemade tikka sauce, lentils with veggies. A bit of eat for about 450 calories.
  • More like the three of them, but I go mostly with straight calories. If it's in my calorie goal (+exercise calories) I eat it. Well... I am mostly carefull with getting enough fibber everyday; and at least 75% of my calcium from foods only. And I often exceed my protein goal with a lot (not trying any kind of specific…
  • I braise chicken breast in a little water, with honey, lemon juice, minced pickled jalapenos, a little bacon (optional), herbs and seasoning. For a big breast I use 1 teaspoon of honey, one tablespoon of lemon juice, one small jalapenos and enough liquid to cover 1/3 of the breast (the water could be replaced with…
  • Banana, frozen berries and greek yogurt smoothie... so refreshing... Pollock with cuscus and tomato sauce. All time favorite and so low calorie.
  • Usually plain yoghurt (especially Greek) keeps me full (served alone) for 1-2 hours. But when I used to eat fruit yoghurt (those commercial brands) I would feel hunger in a few minutes. They do contain added sugar and I blame sugars, not yoghurt itself.
  • For the compulsive-obsessive loggers, the only solution is to separate the two egg yolks from the egg white, weight the yolks, weight the egg white and log each seperate by gram/oz.
  • Baked sweet potato with chicken stew (with leaks and olives) Whole wheat bread slices with topped with veggies
  • Actually, I won't even be friend with me. It's not that I have a problem with who I am as a person... I'm not just my style. I usually get along better with people very different than me. Not totally opossite, but I want my friends and s.o. to complete me, not be me.
  • I have a larger bust, so I hate when I don't find dresses that really fit. The dresses in the size that fits my middle section well, don't get closed up. The dresses that fit my bust are larger in the middle section and make me look sloppy and bigger than I am. It's quite annoying, because in function of the style of the…
