I am 327 now and weighed 341 when I started. I was 350 at one point, twice my high school weight, which was 50 pounds too much. My goal is not to be a size 10. When I was on weight watchers, my goal was 10 percent. Now my goal is different. My goal is to stay within the plan. If I stay on my calories, I have met my goal.…

I have photos of myself as a thin 4-year-old. I don't remember her at all. All my elementary photos show me "chubby" and in high school I was about 50 pounds overweight. Now I waaaaayyyy more overweight. I stopped walking 2 miles a day and that is what I blame!

I have upped my calories ala "In Place of a Road Map" (it's a group I found on here) because I found my weight loss had slowed to less than 1.5 pounds a week. In less than a week of increasing my calories (by a mere 330 more than MFP recommended) I already am showing some initial success. I think I've lost about 3 pounds…

Anything without caffeine. Also not milk because milk is a solid, but I generally don't eat milk anyway. I am not currently counting soup, even if that soup has added water.
-
I am short. I also am eating more to lose more. Look for the group "In Place of a Road Map."

I'm leaning toward PF also. There is a new one that is about 6-8 miles from my work and 10 miles from home. 10 miles is pretty standard where I live. There is one that is a little more convenient but cost is way higher. They do have free weights and training. Right now my local club has a $10 registration fee instead of…

You are not fat. But you don't move enough. Remember that "fitness plan" in high school where you walked 2 miles a day? STICK TO IT. Get to campus an hour early and walk, walk, walk. Avoid those deceptively free campus buses. They are a TRAP. That instinct to get a double major is a good one. But not education like you…

Mad at myself for buying new jeans before deciding to go this road. Non returnable. They fit OK except they're too long. I actually have 2 scales in my house. I may be small enough for one of them but don't know where my friends put the top part that shows the NUMBERS.
-
I am too heavy for my scale at home so I weigh myself at a doctor's office. (My current goal is to lose enough to weigh at home by the end of the year because I plan to change doctors.) So I only weigh myself every 10-14 days or so. Yesterday I wore a pair of stretch jeans. These always relax on the second day of wearing.…

Way to be honest. I think if I had a signature it would be "lying like a rug on her driver's license since 1988." Because every time I renew and they say, "Has anything changed?" I say, "nope, my eyes are still green!"

Aldi has been in the U S of A quite a while. I remember the first one in our area opening 15-20 years ago, long before my mom died in 1999. The newer stores tend to be cleaner. I only get 10-20 percent of my groceries there because a) produce is cheap but cheap for a reason ... it spoils much more quickly b) I buy my meat…

The very first place? My fingers. My ring that was once tight is now loose. Then ... my seatbelt. I noticed I can comfortably use it without the extender. Don't know why it's Dodges that give me fits when none of the other cars do ... but they do.

I have found that if I fail to plan, I plan to fail. I do pretty well on days I am able to plan my food and cook something to take to work, but today was not one of those days. Meetings kept me out of the office from 4 to 7 p.m. I knew my dinner would have to be on the run. I ate a pretty low calorie (for me) breakfast and…

I struggled throughout high school and college to love myself. Once I got that down, it seemed strange to me to try to turn into SOMEBODY ELSE so others would like me. It seemed that their acceptance would be conditional. It took me years later to accept a healthy balance, that sometimes the kindest thing one could do for…

EXACTLY. The person who posted this is the friend who talked me into this. Years ago, we successfully lost weight together (she more successfully than I) but that was when both our lives were different and I practically lived at her house. She talked me into joining this site because I may not be all that motivated to lose…
