your 1st 5 lbs lost was only your water weight. Don't be discouraged if you lose only 1 pound.....what i learned is that 1-2 lbs of weight lost is healthy and is ideal. You should celebrate each time you lose weight...at least you are not gaining!

I am not an expert but 194 of heart rate is high especially you are just resting. Athletes usually have a slow heart rate about 50's. But what is important is that whether you have high or low heart rate, you don't feel any dizziness, shortness of breath or other alarming symptoms.

goodluck on your marathon! I am excited for you. So far, I have done 2 half marathons already. You don't have to run all the time. I walk and run..plus potty breaks :)

you can do it! I was like that before until I decided to run half marathon which is 13.1 miles. It was really hard at first but you have to do it gradually until such time that you are able to reach your goals. I never thought that I can run the marathon (I finished it for 3 hours and 30 mins....hahaha! but hey! what is…
