I know exactly what you mean. I started a similar approach on 10/15, and prior to that I almost always struggled to stay within my calorie allowance, now I can't seem to hit it no matter what I eat. I've had mine for almost a month now. I find that it absolutely encourages me to be more active. I actually ran in place one night because I was close to 10,000 steps and was determined to get there! As a person who loves data and charting, the fitbit is wonderful!
