To the OP, it's not ok. I'm of the view that since (generally) men are a lot stronger than women, it should be a hands off approach. While I do see why he pushed her the first time, the second was uncalled for and a major red flag.

I agree. My boyfriend listens to any problem I have and is caring and receptive everytime, whether I'm having a bad day, week or month. And I do the same for him. We're open and communicate with each other.

Personally, I'd have a donut. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet and you shouldn't be restricting yourself completely. Or even have half a donut, log it and fit it in your calories for the day. Moderation is the key!

My boyfriend is great :) He always asked what portion I'm allowed before serving dinner, never lets me go overboard on treats and doesn't complain in the slightest when I ask him for support. Love him to pieces!

I always have a walk before breakfast. I find I'm not hungry as soon as I wake up but after a walk, I feel refreshed and hungry and ready to start the day

What is your calorie goal, height and current weight? You may be eating too few calories, which can hinder weight loss.

5' 4 inches, calorie goal is set to 1200 and I lost 1kg (2 pounds) in my first week.

^^ This! LOL! I wouldn't avoid anything, I've lost weight by not restricting foods but just the portion size. I weigh everything, check labels on treats and always remain in my calorie goal while eating the foods I love.

Today I am thankful for my boyfriend. I read some of the stuff on here and realise that I have the most supportive and wonderful man who even though I have to convince him, knows that I want to lose weight for me and is willing to help. He even texted me asking if I had enough calories for a bottle of wine with dinner :)
