Just looking at you guys' numbers...wow. I have anxiety and my heart rate is all over the place all the time. I'm lucky if I get it into the 70s. It has improved with exercise and weight loss, but it gets out of control with any amount of stress, and I have general anxiety so I'm generally anxious about everything. Any…

Sup Ladies! I agree with MsTamika, LOG EVERYTHING and don't be embarrassed about it. Drink AT LEAST 64 ounces of water a day and if exercising, you need even more with drinks like Powerade to replenish electrolytes. Remember, it's not about the individual numbers you will see go up and down on the scale; it's about the…

If walking makes you feel good then do it. I do feel you are doing a whole lot of cardio and no strength. Cut out some of the cardio and add some strength training to you workout, maybe 3 times a week. Also, make sure you are eating enough to compensate for all that exercise.

Wow! That is a big difference. That is awesome!

I hate pulling out my DL and people doing a double-take at me. I guess its a good thing though. Great work! You gave me an idea to post mine, even though I absolutely despise it. It does show your progress.

I can not drink out of cups or glasses, even my own! If I absolutely have to, it's usually with a straw. Yes, I use tons of plastic bottles a year...sorry, environment.

Talk with your doctor/ dietician and explain how much you are exercising daily and the results you've had. I say stick with the 1700-1800 cals because it is working to achieve your goal- to lose wight for surgery.

Try to be more conscious of your breathing when walking or running. Sometimes you may hold your breath without knowing it. Get a rhythm with your steps and breath. After a while it'll become natural and you won't have to think about it. Also, try drinking a small amount of water before exercising.

You are an inspiration! Great work!

Hi! I'm very motivated (at the moment lol) and log every day. Feel free to add!

Yea, I never volunteer the info, but it does agitate me sometimes. And I hate, hate, hate, when people assume I'm a single mom or tell me that I need a husband to do certain things because I don't talk about my gf. I guess it's partly my fault for not sharing, but sometimes I don't feel like getting the shocked or dismayed…

Wow...these are the messages that get sent to young girls, that average isn't good enough. Models should be a reflection of real women, in all shapes sizes and colors. Girls need to to see someone more like themselves sometimes rather than be bombarded with images of rail-thin unhealthy-looking stick figures.

My SO happens to be a woman, so YES! 4 years, haven't gotten used to it yet

Hi Tess! Glad to see that you're taking the reigns back. You are soooo right about changing your habits. You have to; there's no way around it and you definitely have proved that. I lost in the beginning eating anything I wanted but now I understand that for longevity and for health, of course, there's some sacrifice and…

You probably haven't gained over 12 pounds in 2 weeks. A good portion of it is probably water retention; increase your plain water intake. However, do count your calories and increase your activity. Staying away from junk is great but the pounds will shed faster if you burn calories as well. If it's too hot outside, get…

Cut out the fried food, eat less, and move more and you WILL see a difference.

We've all been through that! I'm here to tell you that it gets easier. It don't know if it will ever get easy but it gets easier. It's truly in the way you think about it. In the beginning, I was more on the path of just losing, so I cut back but still ate some of what I wanted. It was much easier for me to cut out fries…

I'm sooooo glad Edesq started this thread. It irks me so bad when people say "the gay lifestyle", "lesbian lifestyle", or their living in "the lifestyle", etc. Being gay, in itself, for most is not a lifestyle. That implies a choice made based on values, beliefs, habits, and environment. I, myself, tend to avoid labels…

You can add me! I have ups and downs but I'm a dedicated logger. I exercise at least 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day:) I have about 25 more pounds to lose, maybe 30 depending on my body fat %. I want to be fit, not necessarily skinny.
