Whoops, forgot to log here for awhile. I should have started with a 30-min goal instead of 60 right out of the gate so I'm readjusting to that now. Anywho... Nov 1 - Two, 50 second side planks = 100 sec Nov 6 - Three, 30 second planks = 90 sec Nov 9 - Two, 50 sec planks = 100 sec Nov 10 - Four, 30-second planks = 120 sec…

Nov 1 - Two, 50 second side planks Total: 100 seconds / 1.6 minutes Remaining: 3500 seconds / 58.4 minutes
-
Ohhhhh, I'm in! I am not a fan of planks but know how great they are for me, and do them anyways, but need to push for more than a minute a few times per week! I can commit to 60 minutes for November.

I do half ranch, half balsamic vinaigrette. YUMMMMMMMM! I can't do the light ranch either, so I just do less of the "real" stuff.

I'm also from Wisconsin and always open to more WI friends. Feel free to add me!

Wow! And that side shot is amazing! Way to go!
-
Feel free to add me. I have been SLOWLY changing my life and give a lot of credit to the amazing people here. Slow but steady wins the race!!

Wow, I didn't realize the difference until I compared these two pictures (before and during)...

21 to go and on a MISSION to get there after sitting pretty at 225ish for the last 9 months (halfway point maintenance). SEE YOU LATER 200's! :)

Inspiration for sure! Amazing dedication and one heck of an accomplishment, even if you aren't at "goal" yet, 315 lbs and 3 years of dedication is one hell of a win! Best line I've read in a long time, "I also allow myself to splurge on holidays, one meal of calorie and carb overload won’t make you fat, just like one salad…

Feel free to add me! I'm halfway through my 100 lbs journey on just started "phase 2" of this journey! I also don't believe in diets and this has truly been a lifestyle change for me!
-
Shannon, I've read your prior maintenance posts and love how honest you are with the process. It's seriously inspirational to see the "two years after", because often GOAL is where the story ends. Before I started my journey I finally started loving me for me, fluff and all. It wasn't until after I truly loved myself that…

Per week... 1.5 hrs Zumba (two 45-min classes) 1 hrs upper/lower body sculpt (two 30-min classes) 1-2 hrs family walking/jogging/hiking/biking (weekends) And I don't really consider this exercise but I'm not sitting on my *kitten* so... 5-7 hrs walking on the treadmill, slowly while working (1.8-2.0 MPH pace)
-
I make my own fresh, and then eat it all immediately because it's so damn good. Avacado, chopped onion, chopped tomato, a bit of sour cream or plan greek yogurt, and a sprinkle of Wildtree Adobe seasoning. YUMMMM. I love guac on salads and sandwiches as the dressing/condiment, and of course with chips or any type of…

I personally don't see the need to work out 2+ hours a day. I walk 60-90 min on the treadmill everyday, WHILE WORKING. I don't consider it "working out" though because I'm not walking very fast, but it's better than sitting on my rear at my desk job. Then I usually do a 30-min upper/lower body sculpt class 2x/week during…

Tagging this post for later! :)

Amazing transformation Laura! I'm still impressed with your half marathon...that is quite an accomplishment in itself! Cheers to a wonderful HEALTHY 2014!
-
One of the best success stories I've seen! If you are still here after a year, that is a massive success in itself! Congrats on your progress so far, it's quite amazing! P.S. LOVE your nutrition and fitness "plans". Mine are almost identical. No way in hell I can live without the good stuff forever, so I might as well…

You look amazing, Laura!! What a difference and that is with you wearing a hoodie!! Great photos and NSV's. I've climbed that trail to Balanced Rock and it's not easy. Amazing how much easier it is now, huh? You are awesome!!
-
Amazing! Congratulations on finishing a half marathon. And mostly, thank you for the reminder to reach for those goals that don't involve the scale OR measuring tape. I have most definitely put THOSE goals on the back burner and it's time to make them a priority again!
-
^^THIS!! Everyday I feel like I have to get up, and make the choice (again!) to do this. Congratulations on your success! And thank you for the reminder and encouragement to keep going.

There is a lady in my Zumba class that has been going for at least a year. She's still off beat but I love it because she's still there, still rocking it, still having a blast. Enjoy yourself and just have fun! Keep your eyes on the instructor, and start with the leg movements, and then once you have those down, add the…

My Fitbit TDEE is also very close to all of the TDEE calculations I've done. Actually my Fitbit is a tad higher but still within around 100-150/day. Close enough for me when eating at -20%. The calculators and spreadsheets are pretty right on if you accurately input your activities.
-
This sentence hit home for me. Amazing results! You have got to be feeling just as amazing as you look!
-
This is, by far, one of the best "do's and don't's" success stories that I've read. Thank you for sharing your successes and mistakes during this lifelong journey. And you should be SO proud that you've maintained, when I've heard that is the hardest part of this. I can relate to several of your points but I've never been…

What a solid year!! You look marvelous and 39 lbs is something to be super proud of!! That is about the rate I am losing at and only hope I can hit 39lbs lost in one year. Great job!!!
-
I can't eat/drink (other than water) prior to a workout for 1-2 hours or I feel sick afterwards. I do try to eat a small snack such as yogurt or cheese about two hours prior to exercise, so I'm not hangry! I have been able to walk/jog two hours after eating dinner, as long as it wasn't a big heavy dinner.
-
Anyone is free to add me too. TDEE - 20% since March and have lost 20+. I eat an average of 2100/cals a day!
-
You look great! I can see a big difference in your posterior region and legs too! Keep it up!!

Switch to craft beer. Higher ABV's with less liquid. I notice I feel a little tipsy after one craft brew vs. three "light" beers. Craft beers taste way better too, so you can enjoy the beverage flavor more! For example, Bud light is 4.9% and 110 calories, but you could have a Farmhouse Ale which is 8.5% and 170 cals. You…
