Hiya, I ran the bristol half marathon in Sept 2011 and only did one 10k training run and a 6k run. I managed to do 10 miles straight without stopping. I amazed myself. For me personally the first day is the worst and i normally allow myself to mooch around on that day as it is painful and it bloats me out massively. but by day 2 I find that I want to go out and do a run or go to the gym and I generally work harder. Maybe it's PMS but it works for me.
