No it is not needed. You can Dumbell press all angles Smith machine press Dips/ weights weights Push ups/ with weights Cross overs/flys And you can tear your peck from flat dumbbells and machines.

300x7 is 2100 which is not including the cals you would burn just from eating. 3lb is 10500 cals you just put on water weight just from the increase of carbs.

I don't have rest days because I am not smart, but if I did I would try to walk as much as possible on off days. 1. Don't use the car if it is less then 2 miles. 2. Stairs 3. Go for a walk

What program are you running for your weight training, because as a novice you should be able to get stronger while dieting. Also 20 mins of running shouldn't effect your workout so you should be good with pairing them. Best of luck.

If you have a android cell phone it has most if not all of the features of a fitbit. Samsung phones like the galaxy s9 and 8 also have a heart rate monitor.

Work up to it if you want too, I go to the gym 12 to 14 times and I am a construction worker. For you I would suggest finding a program that makes you get into the habit of going to the gym so many times a week. Best of Luck.
