I used what I had around the house, just mixed them up. I need to get some "root flours" to even it out a little so my mix probably isn't what most people would like or use! LOL. Let me find the website that talked about % of different types of flours to use in a mix and I'll post the site. It was quite informative. I'm on…

Ahhhhhhhhh. Good to know! No wonder so many people are confused! :)

I've got some in the oven right now. I also made my own flour mix. Hope it turns out alright! :)

1 pint is 16 oz, which is 2 cups. Everyone's "glass" that they drink out of can very well be different. Take a liquid measure and see how many liquid cups yours holds and use that as your standard of how many you need to get in 8 cups (64 oounces) of water a day

I also like to use a little alfredo sauce (jarred if need be) as the sauce. I prefer very little sauce so it is still low cal! :)

Just left large national firm last year, but am seasonal only right now. I am not doing well in the exercise department (as in I'm not exercising at all...but my goal is to add in some stairs and extra movement starting this week.. I can do that during a quick break) What I am being successful at is food choices right now.…

I purchased a bag of brown rice flour and a box of g-f baking mix. I've not anything else from the "specialty section" of the grocery store. So no replacements. I'm using corn tortillas instead of bread and for now, I'm not replacing my flour-y things with anything other than veggies, fruit and lean meats and some healthy…

I've lost 15 pounds in 5 weeks. No g-f replacements for the flour-laden foods in my diet from the past. Lots more veggies, a little more fruit and a little more protein to compensate.

Fried or pickled (my favorite is pickled...dill) are the only way I'll eat okra, but I haven't tried it roasted and I love roasted veggies. It can be slimey just cooked. YUCKY! LOL

That is fantastic! Moving a belt over 1 notch is a NSV but moving it over 2 is beyond great! Remember, most people don't see a difference until you've lost 10% of your body weight...but it's not what they see that makes a difference it is how you feel. Keep this up for the long term. Keep it up til you can see differences…

Thanks for the tuna comment...didn't check, but I have checked my broths! :) I'm new and need to be vigilent!

Me too! And a good pita recipe as well! :)

My husband ate corn and green beans when we met. I did what any inventive mother would do to get her child to eat new veggies...I started by adding a little cheese sauce! LOL Broccoli and cauliflower this worked well for! I incorporated more veggies in his salad. Fresh spinach is a powerhouse and if the leaves are small,…

Great ideas. My goal is to use as many foods as possible that were on my grocery list before going gluten-free as possible. When I'm hungary for bread, I'll make my own using gluten-free flours but hope to stay away from as many processed products as possible. Brown rice tortillas, huh? May have to look into those! LOL

bump...any more suggestions of steps you actually take to preplan for the week?

My family loves this dressing! It is wonderful on a spinach salad. It is part of our Christmas tradition (but we eat it anytime! LOL.) Spinach, craisins, green onions, toasted pecans and this dressing. Just a nice, light, easy salad to go with our prime rib for dinner.

I start my day out with 2 cans of diet coke (my caffeine for the day) I then switch over to water and hand-blended herbal "tea" blends. I can't drink black, white or green tea so I now drink hand-blended "Roiboos" blends. It's not tea at all but just herbs blended with other herbs or fruit and spices. Love the stuff and…

I want to add 2 things that I have absolutely no scientific support for and one has already been mentioned. I have gone from my stomach and thighs being a solid mass to being more jiggly right now. I measure several inches smaller and am thrilled with the progress. As I continue to lose I hope to tone up and that the…
