  • update...lost 1.4 lbs this week. Hope this is a trend and not an anomoly. Weight loss in 30 days only 2lbs. But a loss is a loss and more importantly. not a gain.
  • How is your stall going? Any movement yet? My nutritionist said that things won't happen for weeks at this point and then one day...big loss. That's what I'm hoping for tomorrow at weigh in.
  • I'm impressed with your water intake. I can't seem to get my water in AT ALL. To the point it affects my bathroom habits. I don't notice I'm thirsty until my tongue sticks tot roof of my mouth practically. Or I have a really intese workout and hardly sweat at all. Before surgery I drank a gallon+ per day.
  • Justin: Congratulations. This is such an exciting time. You are going to get through the next 2 weeks with no problems...becasue yo are determined to make this surgery work. Log on frequently to get encouragement. Good luck!
  • I always find dresses more flattering than skirt/shirt combos. I agree with other posters about wrap dresses...so flattering and forgiving. look for something with ruching to camoflage bumpy-bits in mid-section. Dresses are super HOT this season. Every store has tons. Try Dress Barn, Torrid, Lane Bryant, Avenue and…
  • I weigh in on Wednesdays. Last week I saw a small bump up. I haven't been as vigilant as I had in the begining, and i know that is palying a part in the stall. I'm also considerably hungier than lately. And grabbing a cookie is faster and less messy than rolling up some lunch meat. I know it's wrong, though. So I'm…
  • I have to line up my yoga mat on a seam on the gym floor. if i'm not lined up on a seam I feel like my balance will be off adn I'll start to turn sideways on my mat. Whatever, don't judge. :)
  • Kat Dennings...check Christina Hendricks...check Mila Kunis...check As I am only 5'2" these leggy ladies are likely bad role models unless this is a list of women i would sleep with if I HAD TO sleep with a woman. The above would be my list as well.
  • sounds like you over cooked it...I prefer al dente style. Cook it a little less and see if you like it better.
  • Thanks for the advice. It looks like we are roughly on the same journey...However your 242 lbs lost is AMAZING to my mere 80 lbs. I know from support group, that the loss will slow down. I also know I've been lazy about logging and lazy about getting to the gym for the last month. So I'm not really surprised at the slow…
  • At 5'2" I will ALWAYS want to be leggy. But at 41 I don't think I have a growth spurt left in me. That being said, play your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. Platform heels help.
  • Everyone gets scared. It's normal. All the possible side effect are real, but very unlikely. As a mother of 3 children I'm sure that your OB gave you a terrible list of possible "complications" involving childbirth. Did any of those possibilities change your mind about continuing the pregnancy? The benefits of this surgery…
  • lemonade and limeade were my best friends for the liquid pre-surgery diet. But I only had to do 3 days. However, if I ever see jello again it will be FAR too soon.
  • I find when I have foot trouble...either from an ankle sprain due to my clumsiness or the bone spur acts up...I can always use the eliptical machine. I feel I stay on the ball of my foot that way. Also I can use the Nautilus machines and work on my muscle tone or take yoga. Good luck.
  • wrinkles...definately wrinkles. My face looked younger when the fat layer held the crows feet, neck lines and frown lines at bay. I am spending the money I used to buy junk food with on creams, lotions, serums and elixers now.
  • Did they give you your job back? No, but they gave me a restraining order...
  • I big and tall guy...I don't know why at 5'2" I'm only attracted to men over 6'2" and broad. Maybe becasue there is that much more to cuddle with. Also big hands. When I'm being held I want to know it. PS: the hand/feet size corallary is inaccurate in my experience.
  • The Day After Tomorrow Real Genius Soapdish Quick Change Adventures in Babysitting Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead Bring It On and the ULTIMATE RED DAWN from 1984..."All that hate is gonna burn you up , son"..."Keeps me warm" LOVE IT!
  • I had no discomfort of pain after the 3rd day. I could have gone back to work within a week except for the need to nap every 4 hours or so. If you don't have complications, 4 weeks should be plenty. That being said, I took six weeks because I could. Six weeks off in august/september kinda rocks. Good luck. It's going to be…
  • isoPure ready to drink. More like gatorade than a shake. I can't stomach the shake type.
  • I want to be able to buy quality clothes. Staple pieces like, black wool pencil skirt, leather coat, silk blouses, professional suit, good belts that the facing doesn't separate from the backing, evening gown, wool balzer. That sort of thing. lately I've been thinking my ultimate splurge piece would be a leather or suede…
  • Cosi Eggplant Flatbread sandwich...it was 1200 kcal! I was outraged. Grilled eggplant, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion all fine...until the yummy olive tapanade spread! I hated myself and Cosi for DAYS after eating it.
  • I was thinking about this yesterday when there were 5 parking spots right next to the door of the gym. I'm not sure that the newbies crowd is as bad as we think (at least at my place) but that after Halloween the gym gets emptier and emptier and we get spoiled. Friday I was at the gym from 5:30 to 6:15 and was the only one…
  • did quick search on Amazon.com...found two models for under $100.00. Be sure to mention to Santa where to look for it when you write it on your list.
  • Thanks. My fiancee certainly wouldn't have wanted me to sit around being bitter. He also would be quite upset with me sleeping with gys that aren't him. That being said, with the way he just up and left unexpectedly...the next time i run into him we have A LOT of things to talk about. In fact, I'm keeping a list...and he…
  • Because my fiancee died unexpectedly last year, two months before our wedding. I'm still wearing my engagement ring. Pretty sure that is the biggest C***blocker ever. Also, I miss the closeness and companionship and sex, but if I think about even going for coffee with a guy, I break out in a cold sweat and am wracked with…
  • Try prunes, dried or pureed or juice. This works for me. Also drinks extra, extra water and maybe a stool softener. Other options are extra fiber you don't normally eat. For instance if you never eat oatmeal, have a big bowl of steel cut oats with dried fruit in it. If all else fails, miralax or milk of magnesia works in…
  • Dominic the Donkey is the worst. A close second is "Baby it's Cold Outside" or as my friend calles it "That holiday date rape song". She clearly professes her desire to leave and he plies her with alcohol and other illict substances (maybe one cigarette more?) to impare her judgement to stay.
  • I'm in...then I will take my 60 minute yoga class...hope I survive :)
  • 10 days before Christmas I got a call from the guy I'd been dating for 3 months that "he liked me too much to see me anymore." I behaved badly and responded by saying, "You aren't allowed to make decsions for me, and I don't accept this" needless to say, the dumping stuck ans I had to return his Christmas presents
