far infared technology -- Does it work?
I'm thinking about buying a Groupon for FIR body wrap. This is what website says: FIT body wraps serve as an adjunct to weight-loss plans by detoxifying the body with two proprietary elements: the FIT coat and booster spray. Covering four areas of the body—the arms, abdomen, and upper and lower legs—the coat emits…

Protein Powder - looking for new source and good deals
I need to buy protein powder. I need to try a new flavor/brand because I've overdosed on the one I have. In the past I bought from BJ's Bariatrics but their website is down/out of business. Anyone have any sample/coupons/websites they can recommend? Thanks.

Samples and Sales info
Hi all; some time ago there was a thread where people posted web deals and coupons and sample pack offers for vitamins and protein powder and the like. I'd like to start it again. This is for bariatric advantage. They offer a trial pack based on your surgery type of most prescribed vitamins.…

looking for a new job
Today was the final evidence I needed to prove I am in a hostile work environment that I am I being discriminated against on a daily basis by my boss. I need to look for a new position, STAT. I can't concentrate on work at all right now and seriously doubt I'll be able to ever again in this office. Can anyone relate?…

graze packs good or bad for WLS
Has anyone with WLS bought/used these? I'm getting tired on my snacks lately and wondered if this might be a fun option. Any thoughts? Im still have another 40 lbs or so to lose. I am having trouble figuring out nutritional value of individual items to determine if these would be good "snacks". Thanks for any input…

Food Logging little bits due to WLS
Okay, here is my problem. Sometimes I just need a bite of something to stop the hungries and I don't know how to log for them withour making myself insane. Here are the facts: 1. I really don't like being tied to a smart device, so logging needs to be easy 2. I sometimes get REALLY frustrated with any website if it becomes…

delicious treat - grapes
I had some grapes that were "about to go bad" in the fridge. At $3.99/lb I wasn't going to let that happen. So I recalled a Food Network recipe in my head and decided to roast them. I put in 8 x8 pan and set oven to 350 degrees and roasted until I smelled them cooking. Amazinging delicious. I ate them as dessert last night…

stalling...what has been your experience?
I had my bypass surgery on 8/1/12. I have lost 80lbs so far. But the last month has been a struggle. I am lossing 1lb or 1/2 lb a week. I'll never get to my goal of 130lbs loss by 8/1/13 at this rate. Has anyone else noticed a stall 6 months in? How do you get over it? Is it just my body readjusting or have I gotten lazy…

My Minor/Major Success Story
I've been bad for months. I blamed work. travel, a home move and the holidays. From June 2013 to January 2014 I didn't exercise as much as i had in the year previous. I stopped weighing my portions, stopped logging my foods and didn't always make wise food choices. I felt okay with my overall 90 lbs weight loss since…

WLS and fat shaming and my anger
As a person who has been: 1. overweight or obese since I was 8 years old 2. teased, bullied, rejected, and discriminated against becasue of my weight I read an article on MSN.com today about how fat shaming does not work. I read it and wanted to share it. It touched me personally and made me empathize. I figured that…

I can't shop anymore NSV
My current dress size is a 12 or 14 depending on the cut. Which means i can no longer shop for clothes at any of the stores I have credit cards to. No Lane Bryany, no Avenue, no Catherines becasue the smallest size they carry is a 14/16. Looks like I have to fill out new credit applications and do some plastic shredding.…

My NSV
I am buying, fitting into and finding comfortable bras with only 2 hooks and thin straps. 2 HOOKS ONLY! Not 3 or 4 or *gasp* 5 hooks. I realize this is a feat only women can understand...but I feel positively tiny when putting these on in the morning.

Best (and possibly unexpected) Workout Song
For me, I always set my iPod on shuffle. But whenever "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mac (the live version from The Dance) comes on I run faster and harder...often I get to the end of the song and replay it at least once. What is you favorite and most inspiring workout song? The one that makes you push that much harder, even if you…
