Yes, they have a 'Mighty Kids' meal that comes with a double cheeseburger or 6 pc nugget, medium fries instead of small, and a medium drink instead of small. These are meals that used to be on the adult menu. But now, the adult nugget meal is 10 nuggets instead of 6. (You can ask for the 6 nugget meal if you like. They…

Nope. The Fry guys. Definitely the Fry guys!

At most 'sit-down' restaurants, you generally get about twice the amount of food than you get at fast food restaurants as well. Compare a platter of Cheeseburger and fries from Fudruckers or Chili's with a burger meal at McDs or Burger King. If you are disciplined enough to split a meal at a restaurant, then you can…

I agree wholeheartedly that we are each responsible for our own health and choices. That said, society has changed in the past 30+ years, in what is considered 'normal'. In the 70s, McDonalds had a very successful ad campaign going with a commercial showing a grown man walking in, ordering a burger, fries, and a drink, and…

I read this question and immediately thought how weird it sounded to me. Giving up? Giving up, what? Living? Then I realized that she must have been talking about 'dieting'. I then realized that after almost 2 yrs on my 'diet' it has become a permanent lifestyle. The pounds are trickling off extremely slowly now, and I…

Look up CaliforniaGirl2012 here on MFP. She is over 50 and got a rock hard body on that program. She is now a rep for them I think.

Perhaps you answered this already and I missed it, but I must ask, why are you trying to go vegan? Is it simply because you think it will help you lose weight? If so, I am sure that there are plenty of Vegans on here that will tell you that you won't automatically lose weight just by cutting out all animal products. You…

If you cut out the sugar and do not replace it with other calories, then yes, you will lose weight. BUT if you will not count calories, and yours is definitely a new excuse to not count calories, then you have no idea how many calories you are eating. If you aren't losing weight, you are not eating at a deficit. Suck it up…

Off to retrieve pork rinds from the pantry. We call them 'fluffy bacon' in our house. YUMMY!!!

You are beautiful, and if you are happy with your health the way it is, great for you! Family can be brutal, tho, so I can certainly understand your anger towards their rudeness. I am guessing that a big part of this is cultural, if your family is all much larger. That doesn't give them the right to be rude to you. I…

Are you talking about being a Physical Therapist or Personal Trainer?

Number one-this thread was started 3 1/2 yrs ago and the OP has long deactivated. But good job having your first post a resurrection post. And two- it is against TOS to recommend anyone eating under 1200 cals. And you can't generalize calorie amounts like that for everyone. We each have our own calorie needs.

I feel ya. I am still waiting for the day when my waist is finally smaller than my hips, but that isn't happening anytime soon, as I just keep losing from what little hips I have left. But eventually the weight will HAVE to come off my waist. So enjoy the athletic build as someone else pointed out. We have awesome legs!…

I started here on my 49th birthday, with the goal of losing 75 lbs by my 50th. Well, I didn't quite make it, but I did lose 50 and felt SO much better. I am shooting for getting another 10 off by my 51st bday in August. It definitely is harder at this age, and those last few pounds are really tough, but you can do it! Just…

Quite simply, when I was 50 pounds heavier I stayed away from mirrors and wore loose tent clothing to hide my body as much as possible. When I started losing and seeing progress, it was great, but I wanted more and more progress, and I wanted it to happen faster. I was working hard on my diet and exercise and my payoff was…

But do they still sell Jelly Babies in the UK? Because my son is a HUGE whovian and would love to try them. My daughter found Jammy Dodgers at World Market and bought him some for Christmas. Now he really wants some Jelly Babies. (since the topic has already been derailed into a discussion of British treats!)

There, there, don't worry, you will find someone who loves you one day.

No one has claimed that counting calories doesn't work. What many are saying here is that counting calories ALONE may not work for everyone. Say I eat 1200 calories a day on a high carb low fat diet. I should be losing weight, as that should be a moderate calorie deficit for me. But since I am insulin resistant, my body…

Good for you. Check back in with us in a few months and let us know how it is going!

The answer to your question is not simple. It really depends on the individual. If you take a young, relatively healthy person, who just eats too much and plays too many video games, and tell them to simply eat at a X amount of calorie deficit, and go hit the gym a few days a week- if they comply, they will lose weight. We…

To me, the only flavor worth the calories is Wildberry. But then I will eat one a day until they are gone. Ok, sometimes 2 a day. So I don't buy them. Toaster Strudel are SO much better in general than Pop Tarts. Just sayin. On second thought, if I am going to blow 200 cals on a pastry, it is definitely going to be a…

It is called geographic tongue, and it is usually harmless. Google it for more info.

There was nothing mean or wrong about the previous poster's advice. It was spot on. The poster was not bragging about her relationship. I read it as agreeing that you CAN find true love online, but it takes time and you have to be careful. Telling her that SHE needs professional help, was over the top. Becoming this…

The bolded parts of your post above are the most concerning here. It sounds like you have some deep seeded emotional issues when it comes to relationships. This has NOTHING to do with your weight. Becoming obsessed over a relationship like this, especially an ONLINE relationship before you had even met, is very unhealthy.…

Oh my goodness. I swear this post is about my soon-to-be-ex-son-in-law. My daughter is going thru the same crap, with the exact same personality to deal with. I have no idea how long it will be before their divorce is settled, but even when it is, it will never be over as long as he is in the picture. Does your ex have any…

If you click on Message Boards, then click on Settings, you should be able to choose to have your ticker shown on the forum posts. If you do not have a ticker on your profile page at all, then that is weird. Perhaps MFP has changed new accounts to not include tickers anymore? When you created your account, you should have…
