Measure your food on a scale, track everything that passes your lips. You don't say how tall you are but, try starting with 1800-2000 kcals/day for a few weeks and see how much you lose to get a baseline. Go for a brisk walk for 30 minutes each day. You can probably lose at least 2lbs a week for starters.

Nope. The only problem is adherence. I got all the macros and micros I required and stuck to my goal. I am under average height but my maintenance is about 2400 kcals. Lots of people on MFP don`t like low cal but for those that can adhere, there is nothing wrong with it if you get proper nutrition. I went from 205 to…

Other half (or as I say for my wife, better half)

o:)

Ya, just break up. You know you want to...
-
Why not? I ate 1400 kcals per day and lost forty pounds a couple of years ago and then went back to maintenance at 2200-2400 for over two years.

You should take a kidney test.

You should probably lie down. 800 calories is probably less than an IV drip.

$15 dollars might feed your family for a week in the coming zombie apocalypse. Save your cash or spend it on something your family enjoys.

What if you have the wrong end of the stick, and the actual usable calories from protein is wrong. Bomb calorimeters and the human body may not be precisely comparable. I`m not sure that the quantities assumed for the different macros are exact or even right as regards usable energy in a human but this doesn`t dismiss CICO…

How did you count, because I don`t believe you...sorry.

I don`t need as much vitamin D as my ancestors were vikings! There. An unfounded statement. I don`t think we even know what optimal levels are or what is a deficiency for whom. I see Mercola, eyeroll, and the New York times have been cited here... The naturopaths and chiropractors have muddied the water again.
-
Most Canucks I know never have. It's always been "the US" or "the United States" or "the States". The only time we ever heard "America" was on the New York TV stations. We do call you guys Americans though...I never even thought about it until some Brits referred to us as some guests from America, which was technically…

No kidding. The previous quote is a ridiculous argument.

I blame Oprah. She's foisted all these ridiculous woo merchants upon the gullible public. I miss Johnny Carson. Skeptic and critical thinker. Funny and smart as well.

The body strictly controls its pH. The proponents of the alkaline-acid theory haven't shown any reproducible studies that it has any merit to my knowledge. As to the bolded part, there have been studies, just not any showing any efficacy for the claims. Here's one on rats (granted) showing that apple cider vinegar is…

You can catch all you want if you drive an hour or two north (well, in the spring and summer). :)

OP read about adaptive thermogenesis. Your rate of loss may slightly slow down, but you won't stop losing from under eating. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3673773/

There is no evidence in your links. Just a bunch of naturopath nonsense. Come with peer reviewed studies or don't bother.
-
Now that's responsible. Don't follow evidence based scientific approaches, follow the myths... <eyeroll>
-
So what you're saying is that if I could invent some kind of chilling machine we could keep inside the house we could slow the rate of food spoilage? I'm on it!

There are some new studies that show that at least the conventional wisdom is controversial. I linked one above... There are also some studies that show that some people may be more sensitive to sodium than others. As I said, the jury is still out and more study is required.
-
Just look here: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/search/list I wouldn't waste money (or my stomach lining) on supplements. A glass of low sodium V8 has ~850mg for 50 kcals... Some coconut water has over 1000mg for even less.
-
You should stop giving advice as if it were fact. The jury is certainly still out on this. Low sodium intake is associated with higher mortality rates. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24651634

How old are you rachellll98? My guess is 16.

No. she's hungry because she's under-eating. Stop enabling.

You need to seek the help of an ED counselor.

If you know how many grams of flour your dough contains it's straight math. Calculate the calories of ingredients you received and divide that by the number of grams for the whole cooked loaf for cals/gram. Then weigh your slices and multiply by cals/gram. If not, you're out of luck (guessing)

I'd direct you to the Polar forum to ask, but they closed that. I'm through with Polar since they don't seem to want to interact with their customer base. You can try to get someones attention on their Facebook page, if you Facebook...I don't.
