I started with the One which was fab, but found myself wanting the extra things that the charge HR did. I think best to look on fitbits website myself, think about what you want and then see which one best matches your needs and your budget. I was happy to upgrade on the HR as I knew I would use it and get something from…

I've only lost a few pounds since January and I am heavier than you, but I am exercising a lot more than I used to and I have pictures that show I have lost a lot from round my tummy area. It is frustrating not seeing the scales move, but you just need to keep doing the small things and eventually they do make a much…

I've been weighing daily for the past couple of months as I discovered a site called trendweight.com which links to my fitbit scales and does the nice curved line showing me where I really am. Its helped me be much more aware of fluctuations due to slight changes in calories or fibre or hormones. It seems to be really…

yes - I've had a cold for about 4 weeks I cannot shake it, and its the third long cold like this in the past 6 months. I didn't know whether it was the fact I was exercising in the gym to be honest and touching equipment others had used, and using the steam room at the gym. Whatever it is, its might annoying. I've managed…

I can't currently add anything to my diary via the web, but can in my android app thank goodness.

I'd go to the gym too - will help get your bowel moving and get rid of the bloating quicker.

I would second that the fitbit will get used to what is your normal. I've been wearing a fitbit for nearly two years (although only got the charge HR in January this year). I've got MFP set as sedentary, but got my diet plan on fitbit set to personalised so that it takes into account my normal pattern of behaviour. I did a…

I'm very interested in joining you. First beach holiday booked 20 weeks time, so this would be a fab starting point for that.

I'm upgrading from the One to the Charge HR. Its being delivered tomorrow. Its been handy reading this to make me aware of potential errors before I start. My biggest reason for wanting to upgrade is the HR. I have a Polar FT7 and have barely used it as its a faff. Hoping this one is much more straightforward as it will…

I've found this thread incredibly useful. I'm going it alone at the gym and don't really have a clue what I should be doing other than knowing I should be lifting. I will check out the links with interest.

I have a lot of knee issues - swimming can sometimes aggravate it, but I find that going on the exercise bike really does help to strengthen it in my case. A lot of walking, especially outside on hilly terrain can really hurt. I strap it up if I know I am going to do something like that to give it extra support and stop me…

Start weight 195 Goal weight 180 Which is quite high, but about half a stone has gone on through silly eating over the past couple of months so I'm expecting this weight to come off quicker at the start.
