  • My best suggestion to you is not to call it "a diet" This is a new lifestyle. A new way of eating, a new way of thinking to get to the healthy you that lives inside of your current body. Start slow. Not that's impossible at your weight to lose 10lbs a month but just take your time so that way it sticks. I wish you well
  • Sometimes be careful what you wish for. I Facetimed with my mom this weekend who hasn't seen me in months. The first words out her mouth were "What's wrong with you? You look sick, Have you been to the doc, he might need to check your bloodwork" I asked her what was she talking about and she told me that my weight loss…
  • Congrats on your success thus far and welcome to the MFP community. What's most important is focusing on eating properly and the weight will come off. Exercise is mainly for health. Try a walking video. Leslie Sansone -Walk away the pounds. There are slow ones to start with like the 1 mile indoor walk and as you feel more…

  • OP, I'd be very careful with the amount you're eating. I'm almost half your weight (156) and I eat 1300 cals a day. What you don't want is to feel like you're starving and then binge. That's counterproductive!
  • It's fine.. For example: If you are allotted 1500cals a day then that's 10,500 cals a week. if you had 1200cals 6 days and 3300cals day 7 it still equals the same amount so you're okay. I do it sometimes when I'm anticipating a night out.
  • OP, you just joined MFP yesterday so how were you keeping track of calories before that? You need to eat to what is recommended by MFP and make sure you are putting everything in accurately.
  • I just looked at your diary, if your entries are correct then I see exactly why you are starving. I'm 2x your age and 150lbs and I'm rating 2x what your are eating. Your profile says that you are 18, which I kind of doubt but losign weight isn't like a touchscreen, you can't just tap a button and presto instant deletion
  • Part of this journey is learning how to maintain for a lifetime. Dropping an large amount of weight in such a short period doesn't give you the opportunity to learn about calorie counting and making good food choices. What happens when you start eating? Even on the biggest loser there's a medical staff (that you never see)…
  • I agree with ^^^ Have you tried entering your information into Scooby? http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
  • You have cups, do you have a scale too?
  • Michael Strahan! Ummm...Yes please
  • How are you calculating your calories? Are you eyeballing and going by labels or weighing and measuring? Sounds like you are underestimating calories consumed
  • My husband and I renewed our wedding vows last year in Roatan, Honduras...beautiful!
  • I would hardly call that cheating. plug your stats in Scooby... http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Even at a 25% fat reduction it has you losing significantly at 2600 cals. Yes you are trying to eat healhty fats and proteins but you are just not close to enough. you want to be able to sustain this weight loss…
  • I think something is going on with the Android app. I have a galaxy 4 too. It's installed but it's not syncing any information properly
  • When I was a kid I'd watch The Last Unicorn at least once a week and cry everytime I saw it
  • Excellent job, you look great!
  • My road started somewhere are the 220lb mark- I'm 5'2". Why have I been successful? because I stopped looking for fads, diets, quick fixes or magic pills. Things clicked when I stopped depriving and starving myself because I wanted to lose 20lbs in a few weeks time. It's just not reasonable, nor sustainable. I've done it…
  • Las Terrenas, Dominican republic. It's a beautiful very unadulterated fishing town on the northern coast of the island of Hispaniola. Very inexpensive, very affordable. You can get around everywhere on just scooters. The locals are very pleasant and the food is fresh and phenomenal! Miles of beaches to your self...Just…
  • If you follow this through and be patient surgery won't even be a consideration. Set goals and o your best to folw through. Don't get frustrated when the scale doesn't go your way and don't beat yourself up when you have a bad day. We all do. It's all part of the process
  • At 300+lbs you reducing your calories so low doesn't make much sense. I think what everyone has been trying to tell you is that your approach may be extreme. I'll say from experience as many others will probably say, and sounds like you know from your experience if you go to hard then you are more likely not to sustain.…
  • I go to Orlando all the time, matter of fact I'll be there next Saturday. When I'm looking to eat healthy I go to the supermarket. Publix is a great place to get fresh salads from the deli. I also go to the seafood dept and get a 1/4lb of cleaned pealed shrimp. They will steam it for you in whatever seasoning you like, no…

  • Great job. Beautiful wedding pic btw. Looks like my husband and me. He's 6'6" and I', 5'2" Many blessings!
  • How long have you been at this? Your diary is not public so can't see what you are tracking and how you are tracking. No idea of your stats. Are you logging every day? Are you weighing food or just eyeballing or going by labels? What is your activity? Are you eating back calories burned? Those are all good places to start.…
  • It happens, don't feel bad. I lost 70lbs got down to 150 in 2014.... by the holidays last year I was 172 so January i started over. Already back to 156. Grab the bull by the horns and take the ride again!
  • I'm just curious as to why this was flagged as spam? What did eldamiano say that was to be flagged?
  • The point of vacation is to relax and get away from the norm...What's wrong with that? Now you're back so get back on it. But you can't tackle what you don't know so get on the scale see the damage, refocus and do what you know how to do. The longer you let ill feelings linger the harder it will be
