Naughty weekend and skipping challenge gone slightly due to sore shoulder but I am getting back on it!

Have just seen this so I guess I will be 29 day challenge! My goals are: 1. Make a new habit of saying 'No thank you' to cakes and treats. The 'no thank you' pledge! 2. Skip for 20 minutes 6 days a week. 3. Only drink alcohol 1 day a week Good luck to all!

Hey! I have a similar story, I was doing really well and finally felt I was on top of it all for the first time in my life...and then my parents came to visit for 3 weeks and I gradually started getting to bad habits again and cutting down on the exercise and 4 weeks later I am 3kg heavier. I desperately want to get back…

Feel free to add me! I was doing well but fell off the wagon and now want to get back on it and try to lose 3kg by Christmas....need the extra support!

So sorry for the loss of your Mum. So inspired and full of admiration for you in taking these first, and hardest steps! MFP is a great site full of support and it is there at the touch of a button! All the best with it, it's not going to be easy but it will be rewarding and sooo satisfying at the same time! Lots of luck!

Welcome! From Scotland, living in NSW....hoping to lose some weight for summer also! Good luck with it!

Same here. Take pics and measurements. Cause many times you may not lose what you expected. but if you look at pics you will see a difference. I am challenging myself to not look at the scale fora while because it pisses me off, and it not a reflection of all my hard work. [/quote] Haha! Know that feeling, definitely p'd…

Thanks! I heard that on the radio a few weeks back but wasn't sure if right or not. It is good to know as I do drink quite a bit of green tea!

I really think you have come to the right place as there is so much support, motivation and success on this site. feel free to add me as a friend. It's great that you used to swim as i do think it will help you with getting back into exercise, one step at a…

Feel free to add me! I have only been on here for a couple of weeks so quite low on the friends numbers too!
-
Yup, I had stopped breast feeding by the time I got round to walking it off and I am 5ft 3

Should add that stopped walking when friends were here and ate LOADS!!! No holding back. learnt my lesson now!

I lost all but 3kg of my baby weight (prob about 7kg) through walking and not eating between meals. If you can get a few hills in that will help heaps. (Don't have to be big hills!!!) Not sure about the number of cals i was eating but was just having 3 meals a day...cereal, sandwich and basic dinner of meat, veg, carb. I…

Love this challenge and it will be great for me as I get further down the line. At the moment, as a newbie I still have my starting motivations: Start date: sept 1 Powerful me: 13 Binge monster: 0

It is now my Wednesday night and seeing my green tea has been sipped and my body has relaxed, I will do the challenge tomorrow! Cheers. Good luck to all!
-
Just seen the pics now too....you look great! can't believe you have that much more to lose!
-
Fantastic!! I was completely impressed by the weight loss figures and then I read on to all the other things you have had to deal with and my eyebrows raised another couple of cms!! WELL DONE! Thanks for inspiring us and all the best with the continuation!
-
Not sure on why, but all I can say is don't weigh yourself everyday as you will go insane....it is too frequent to see any real changes and then it will demotivate you. I have only been doing this for two weeks and I have found them very long weeks but hopefully when I get on the scales tomorrow it will be worth it! Good…

I love avocados and use them all over the place. Last week we had hot pasta with chicken, cherri tomatoes, chilli oil or tobasco, avocado and baby spinach added just before serving. MMMMMmmmmmm Or on their own with salt and pepper and sometimes some balsamic vinegar.

Know the feeling! Try not to be too hard on yourself. If you really want to do this it is going to have to be weekends too, I think.. I have the same problem. the first weekend I put in semi effort and saw such shoddy results that this weekend I have stuck to my limit and exercised more. I might sound like a right eejit…

I'm sorry, I don't know enough about all this to give you any true advice but I definitely feel for you. It must be very frustrating putting in all the work and not seeing any results. I am in week 2 and know I will be gutted if the pound(s) don't drop. Wishing you all the best and I hope that you get some good advice soon!

I'm from the UK but now living in NSW, Aus but only about 45 minutes from Victoria! Just joined also....
