  • I do not like the fishy taste either. I do like Tilapia Mahi Mahi Orange Roughy Halibut Swaii We have gone to eating fish about twice a week we never used to eat much at all, except Tuna. I coat it with mayo (keeps it moist, doesn't taste like mayo after cooked) then dust with parmesean cheese, and a little lemon pepper.…
  • This really has nothing to go with most of the comments posted above, but does have to do with the shutdown. GO VETS!!! I got tears in my eyes reading about what they did. After storming the beaches of Normandy and seeing comrades die, and some losing limbs themselves, they had to storm the barricades to see the memorial…
  • Try figuring out a bag of microwave popcorn. My sons and I stood in the store for 10 minutes trying to estimate how many calories one bag would have. I went home and threw some regular in the microwave. Sheesh
  • Probably because mg would be harder for people to count. Just counting pills is easier.
  • I take a probiotic every day. I have IBS, so I suffer from the usual nasty bowel issues. Get the good probiotics, the ones the pharmacist keeps in the fridge. And keep them in your fridge. It doesn't really have a laxative effect, so you still may have to deal with that first. But they keep me very regular.
  • Agree with talking to your Dr. I am trying yoga, I have arthritis and sciatica. Back pain sucks. Best of luck with what you find out.
  • Thinking about it, just hard to get up motivation after a bad time
  • I went once. Hated it. Got laughed at. Yes to my face. Won't go again. HOWEVER, when I whine to my friends they are shocked. This is not how any of them have felt. No one else has been laughed at. (Even my very white girl friend who found herself in an all-Hispanic zumba class, they all thought it was great and tried to…
  • Spoken like a true libertarian. AND I agree!
  • I have not lost in my feet, but I have in my hands. Needs to get my ring re-sized. I would rather lose it in my hips or tummy, but weight loss is weight loss I guess!
  • Also, I wouldn't go vegetarian for weight loss. I've been a vegetarian for 20 years, and IMO there's no weight loss benefits that a reasonable balanced diet can't provide, and you're looking at headaches getting your protein without going overboard on carbs. If you have an ethical/moral motivation, I strongly support it,…
  • I have gotten a flu shot for the past six years and have gotten the flu two of those years. Not just throwing up, real, 7 days in bed with a fever flu. It is horrible. So I will get a flu shot this year as well. It is not 100%, but I would rather do what I can to stay healthy. My husband also gets one. My kids don't. I let…
  • If asking is the problem, you can buy an extender beforehand. My husband has one and he keeps it in his carry-on. Sometimes he needs it, usually not, but some seat belts are shorter than others. He even offers it to others if they need it and he doesn't. Actually, after getting "chewed out" he doesn't offer to women any…
  • When I got back from Mexico this summer I ate pears every day for a week. And water. :)
  • Just had a temp crown put in today. I feel your pain. So I am not going to worry so much about calories until I can chew on both sides. I am planning pasta with marinara sauce, applesauce, yogurt, egg salad, cottage cheese, canned mandarian oranges, and pudding.
  • Could be sciatic pain. Go to Dr. I get steroids shots once every 6 months or so. No more pain. I used to hurt just sitting, never mind walking.
  • Muller makes them. They are called "corners". Just has one tonight, plain with carmelized almonds-YUM
  • YES, lack of salt can mess up your electrolytes. I follow IF, and when I get a headache I need sodium. I either have some bullion (water in that) or a V-8. Not low sodium. Takes a while, but the headaches goes away.
  • Roasted veggies are the best! I use the olive oil and sea salt, but also add some garlic. The garlic gets all soft and yummy and seasons the veggies as well. Try radishes, they seriously do not taste the same as they do raw.
  • I didn't reply the first time around, but just saw this. I am doing 5:2 and have been for about 5 weeks. Lost 8 lbs and loving it so far. Feel free to add me although I only log regularly on fast days.
  • I have had that pain with a UTI. HOWEVER, do not wait. If you think it is appendicitis go immediately to Urgent Care or ER. A ruptured Appendix is life threatening.
  • This is where I am. Husband makes fun of me for trying to eat better, family tells me I am being unhealthy. (I am doing 5:2). However I am the kind of person that instead of saying poor me, I think, I will show them! So it makes me even more motivated than before. I will be healthy and thin and they can all still be fat.
  • ^^This^^ Except it is so expensive here. When I go to Mexico a bottle is about .90 cents. Here I will pay twice that. But I do. Sometimes
  • Mine too, cant get into my food diary
  • Bing Cherries, too bad they are no good here 9 months out of the year.
  • Did you try adding them all and seeing what calorie difference there is? Now I am curious, but the diary says down for maintenance so I can't check.
  • Yes, I also use some laughing cow cheese and turkey deli meat. You might need to scoop some of the seeds out first. I eat them longways.
  • You didn't mention weight, just healthy so these may not all below calorie Microwave popcorn (if you have access to a microwave) and do not get the movie calorie butter kind Nuts Beef Jerky Granola bars Fiber one bars Craisins Protein bars And not super low calorie or healthy, but I always kept them around for something…
  • ^^This. I spot all the time and I am on seasonale. (one period every 3 months---WONDERFUL)
  • I have been doing 5:2 for 4 weeks and have lost 8lbs. I love that it is so flexible, can't do Monday, do Tuesday instead, cant do 5:2 one week, that's ok do 6:1. No pills, supplements, or shakes. I only wish my husband could see the science. He scoffs and calls it "that internet diet" That is ok, I will be skinny and he…
