  • "Another One Bites the Dust" or Monty Python's "Always Look on the Bright side of Life"
  • I'm not sure if the OP is a troll or not, but seems he's nicked off now... Seems crazy that people think they HAVE to be a healthy weight and fit. You don't. It's a choice. For me, being fit and healthy feels better. I have less health issues and I know I'm going to be around longer for my kids. I look better, too. But…
  • I used to do this ALL the time and it added a lot of extra calories to the day. What I started doing was deliberately picking up the left over food, taking it to the bin and throwing it in saying to myself "I'm throwing it out, I don't need it". If I was packing lunch and I picked something up I would stop, deliberately…
  • The things that will make you feel great about yourself are clothes that fit and actually show a bit of your figure. If you think you're going to lose more weight start with some great fitting, well-priced jeans and a few tailored / fitted shirts. I have a few cute skirts that have...believe it or not...elastic waists and…
  • I get really embarrassed too. Sometimes I even where bigger clothes because I can't handle it! I even had the lady in the bakery making a big fuss and asking how I did it. As the others have said, a smile and "thank you" works wonders. Sometimes I just say I've been training for triathlons (which is true) and the weight…
  • I agree with the others, you look fantastic now! My lowest weight was 103 lbs with very little muscle mass (I'm short and very small framed), I'm 115 lb now with a lot more muscle tone and I still fit into the same clothes...and I think look a little better! You're rocking it, keep up whatever you're doing!!
  • My C cups shrunk to an A cup (which is what I was before I put on the weight). I did like having bigger boobs but I feel lighter and sportier with smaller ones. Thank goodness they haven't started sagging yet...but I guess that will come with age!
  • People are always saying "ladies don't bulk up" but I see plenty of women at the gym and group fitness instructors who look like men. Big, bulky calves, massive shoulders and backs, bulging arms and thighs. Not criticising, they look fit and healthy and obviously enjoy it. But as this poster says, the female linebacker…
  • Fricken hilarious!
  • Wow, what a difference! You were beautiful before and you're totally va-va-voom now!
  • You look amazing, and you have very cute clothes too!
  • You're eyes are too beautiful, I keep getting lost in them. I think we'll have to part ways.
  • Your rack is bigger than mine, I can't handle the jealousy
  • Way to go!!! I bet you really feel the difference
  • Can I just say...WOW! You were dead gorgeous in 2002 but you're seriously hot now. I think that a picture like this really does paint a thousand words. You are 14lbs more than 10 years ago but you are smaller with amazing shape and definition. Just goes to show what building muscle can do...there go all the "getting bulky"…
  • I lose weight very slowly too. I had a goal in mind then reached that goal and decided to go a little further (still within a healthy range). I upped my exercise, incorporated more interval training and weights / resistance. Clothes got loser, looked more toned, scales didn't move. But what I did notice is the fat % on my…
  • I find maintenance really tricky. I have yo-yoed before, but have made some life changes (completely revamped my diet and exercise most days) and I haven't put any on for awhile. Ironically, sometimes I find that I start to lose too much weight. I'm scared of putting weight back on so I still eat like I had to when I was…
  • I'm 5'2.5" and my goal weight was 120lb, then I got there and decided to shoot for 115lb and toned which looks better on me. At 120lb I had a pretty high fat %. When I was training for triathlons I got to 108lbs and it wasn't a good look. I second the comment to go to mybodygallery.com. You can enter in your height and…
  • This is a beautiful way to handle it. If my husband told me to lose weight I'd tell him to jam it - but he never did, I made that decision on my own. But I think being concerned for the health of your partner and doing something POSITIVE to help him or her lead a healthier lifestyle is wonderful. Just because you're in a…
  • You look amazing, you can see all the hard work! And you have such a pretty face to match the rocking body!
  • I know how you feel. I started a bit heavier than you, my goal was 8.2 stone (I have a very small frame, I'm 5'2"). Absolutely nothing happened for about 6 weeks. I ate 1200 cals, exercised, drank water. Felt down about it but kept going and then a whole lot came off in a "whoosh". I really upped my exercise doing high…
  • Well, at first you don't believe you are thinner or healthier. You still see the large person in the mirror, you try not to bmp your hip going through a door way no realising your hips don't stick out that far now. But, when you come to accept you are smaller it feels AMAZING and worth every bit of the watching what you…
  • Lol, I like your explanation! I have to agree, running did wonders for my cellulite. I had cellulite on my thighs - and my calves! Running and losing weight really helped it look much better (enough to wear shorter skirts) but it didn't disappear 100%.
  • I think they meant look at a pic of a pound of fat vs a pound of muscle and see that one takes up a lot more volume than the other. There is a pic here: http://www.onemorebite-weightloss.com/muscle-to-fat.html
  • Every day, in the morning. Funny, I feel the need to do it every day but I don't feel obsessive about it which I guess is contradictory. I don't stress over small gains but I do get excited about small losses  I'm currently maintaining so I like to see myself staying within a 1-2 lbs range.
  • Most fad diets make you feel like hell. Some people say you have a bad few days with a juice fast, then you feel "wonderful" but all of my friends on it just felt terrible. People have lost SERIOUS amounts of weight on MFP, but it does take time. Took me 6 months to lose 20lbs but it wasn't painful. Kick up your exercise…
  • I found the pic disturbing because the person who posted it was "body shaming" (although good lord that term gets over-used here and I find THAT disturbing) by saying that is an ideal. I could never have a waist that small, or a butt that round, and it is disturbing that someone is putting that up as an ideal and…
  • I find the butt on the right disturbing... No amount of weights would make my *kitten* or waist look like that. Thank God!
