That's pretty much true for any psychotherapy--just the fact that it exists is toxic. Basically, it is a statement to all the psychopaths, sociopaths, and psychotics -- there is something wrong with you. Extremely judgmental.

Indeed! Regretfully, Germany appears to be moving in the direction away from recognizing that sexual orientation does not need to be corrected: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/world/germany-to-ban-sex-with-animals-report/story-fnddckzi-1226524544281

I disagree. That's why *I* go to the gym, but it's always nice to have some eye candy.

I don't think it has anything to do with confidence. There's plenty of confident women, big and small, who are unattractive to men. It really is the whole package. I.e., more than just confidence.

I think a big part of it is that it's not being "narrowed down," it's simply a fact of life. Once again, I disagree. We tend to view ourselves as "beautiful," not matter what. Being viewed as beautiful by others is simply a lot more meaningful than our own misconceptions.

Also, everything in moderation. During my typical 45 minute workout I change machines 2-3 times. The most I do on a single machine is 16 minutes. Not only it adds variety but it also minimizes impact on any particular muscle or joint.

OK, this is simple. It is a skill no different than losing weight. You need to learn a verbal Tai-Kwon-Do. My suggestion would he Susan Elgin's "The Gentle Are of Verbal Self-Defense." No disrespect to your dad, but most of us have these types in our lives and the only way to deal with them is to learn how to recognize and…

If it's a week or two, my attitude is to enjoy my time off. For me the important thing is to get back in the pattern as soon as I get back, both with exercise and with food. Today is the last day of house sitting for a friend. It felt like a vacation and my exercise and diet patters were completely disrupted. I gained 3…

Trying yet another German beer tonight - Ayinger Jahrhunderrt-Bier. Very pleasant, nicely balanced beer. I think they call it Dortmunder style. It is interesting that Germans have been brewing beer for centuries and they never seemed to experiment with the malty styles like Belgian ales, or hoppy styles like IPAs. Nice…

Midas Touch has grapes added to it and it's an odd combination.

I've only had Dogfish once, about a year ago. I think it was the 90 minute IPA. I didn't care for it then, but I'll have to give it another try.

Going with heffeweizen for the third evening, I tried the one that's the most common around here, pictured below. Of the three, this is definitely the bottom of the barrel. Unsatisfied, I had to open another bottle, this time it was a 12 oz Lagunitas Brown Shugga. Just slight hint of smoke mixed in with a nice and balanced…

My "true and tried" breweries would be Lagunitas, Port Brewing, and Green Flash Brewing. Of course, Russian River is in the Divine status and remains untouchable.

I've never seen this label around here but I'll keep my eyes open.

As a follow up to the last night's dunkel, today I picked up a bottle of Erdinger Hefe-Weizen. Again, I'm not much of a fan of this style of bier, but the yesterday's sample of Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel seemed much tastier and much more complex.

I had them removed since then. :-)

The highlight of my day yesterday was a bottle of Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel. Not my favorite style of bier but this one is truly outstanding. Someone else mentioned, "All of their beers are awesome examples of the style. I think I like their Korbinian the best (doppelbock)."

Sleepy girl, I couldn't agree more, even though my avatar might indicate otherwise.

It IS normal and common, and it has nothing to do with shoes! It is a nerve issue, in that the motion while exercising on the elliptical machine can have an effect on the nerves, creating the feeling of numbness,

I had the same problem. After about 6-7 minutes my feet were numb. I talked to a trainer and she told me it had to do with the position of my feet which were sightly angled instead of 100% parallel. She advised making sure my feet are always parallel, plus a couple of exercises, plus stretching before and after the…

Hmmm, for me the weekends are actually easier. I have more time so it's easier to fit exercise into my schedule, and I have more time to plan the meals.

You'd be surprised how many loonies out there will walk 5 miles to pay their bill in person using cash.

I do a relatively light cardio and I take one day off per week. It feels good, it keeps me in balance and wanting to go back. I just took off 4 days, first time in three months. Felt good and today was back to the gym and that felt good too. The key is to find the balance that works for you.

Most calories in Thai food are in the curries, and they come from the coconut milk. That includes red, yellow, green, panaeng, and masaman curries, as well as Tom Khaa Gai soup. All of them, by the way, are excellent and very tasty dishes. Among the good low calorie choices would be fresh spring roll (i.e. not fried),…
