Well, its gotten complicated. :grumble: I now have heavy days, light days, rest days, and off days. I classify them more by the heartrate and sweat levels than by volume of training. Once a week I go fullbore. Gym at 530am, walk at lunch, and insanity in the evening. That's a heavy day because the am and pm workouts are…

Oh, man, I almost forgot one of my favorites! (slaps forehead) See if you recognize this one: RR "Clearly, this dog has a bigger d%#k than you!" HHH "And when the F$^k did you see my d^#k, f$^kface?!?" RR "I was talking to her!" PP "No more talk about d^$ks. It provokes my envy." Most of the effect is in the delivery by…

Ok. You asked one or the other. Then some guy (like me) comes along and posts a link to another product. Please don't hate me. I have no affiliation with ANY of these things, but the concept of a calorie tracker appeals to the engineer in me (we LOOOOOOVE data). This link came in my email the other day. Maybe someone will…

Not only are they hot, but that accent makes me crazy. The Kiwi accent (New Zealanders) also has the same effect. Just speak (I don't care what you say) and I am yours!

What about a bicycle with a child seat? As he gets older he'll need his own bike, and you can work out together. Start him off right. To help stay motivated during home workouts why not join a "challenge group" or a group that specializes in the workout you are doing? That way even though you are alone at home you are…

Sometimes (being flawed humans) when we say something is "unavoidable" or "we didn't have a choice" what we really should be saying is "we didn't have a PLAN". Granted, I am not diabetic nor hypoglycemic so I can only speculate what living with that stuff is all about but it seems clear to me that the start of the slide in…

Actually, there's lots of evidence that shows you have better mental focus in a fasted state. And eating awakens your appetite. It's easier to avoid cravings during a fast. From an energy balance point of view there is no difference to the distribution of your daily cals between 1 big meal or 6 small ones. Do whatever fits…

InvisibleOne's post seemed a little ambiguous as to whose account should be removed. But my chocolate stout fogged brain figured it out eventually. ...just ignore me. Dreaming about espresso beans.

Well. Clearly it was meant to be. I think Walmart is open 24 hrs.

If someone quoted my chocolate covered espresso bean a second time I'd take that as a sign myself and go get me some as well!

This is a very good point. If your mood and depression as well as the unhealthy parts of your relationship with food is irrevocably linked to your blood sugar it seems it would be an excellent strategy to control your blood sugar to the best of your ability and let the rest happen more naturally.

And calling someone "an *kitten*" won't help anybody

That up there! It's you against yourself. If you think you are beaten, you are; If you think you dare not, you don't; If you'd like to win, but think you can't, It's almost certain that you won't. If you think you'll lose, you're lost, For out in the word we find that Success begins with a fellow's will, It's all in the…
