Willpower is the biggest enemy for me - and it sounds like for you too. Sometimes we have it beat and we eat right and feel great; other times we just lose it and eat crap and feel soooo guilty..... and then give up. I have been yo yo dieting since I was 15........ I beat your 25 times easy!! What made it different this…

So gross, so funny and sadly so feasible! :ohwell:

As humans, most of us are social creatures and we like to share our stories, victories and get sympathy as well as support for the bad days. I like the friends aspect of this site - when you go to weightwatchers etc, the leader spends most of the time talking, you sit there listening and often in your own weight loss…

You cannot I am afraid to say. I am in the middle of mourning mine. I will move on eventually, but looking down and not having them in eyeline is very strange .... but then I don't have a tummy in eyeline either which I am more happy about!

I totally empathise - I also put on a lot of weight post divorce 14 years ago and have only just lost it over the past 16 mths.... people say such nasty things don't they! "If you lose any more weight, you'll fall through a grate" "You are REALLY starting to look haggard now" "Do you actually eat anything? (said while I…

you can do it - I did :) I never thought losing weight at nearly 50 would be as easy as it has been - we are told once we get to this age it gets harder and harder - its not true - i think we have better willpower with the knowledge that you are making your life better for your body - we know we don't have the luxury of…

i don't think anyone really gets away without some loose skin after dropping a lot of lbs. And age and genetics certainly make a difference. I have excess skin on my tummy (but as others have said I have had 3 kids so it was never going to be perfectly flat and smooth with all those stretch marks anyways!) and on my boobs…

i started reading this thread and gave up..... too depressing. One day did not make us fat, one day will not make us fat - we will not 'undo all the good work'..... We don't do Thanksgiving here in UK (obviously!) but I know that this Christmas I will enjoy my holiday, eat fine food, drink some fine wine, enjoy some snacks…

I lost almost 5 stone (always sounds more than 69lb!) by eating whatever the number was for the day - including any exercise I logged. It really was as simple as that. Try not to overthink and second guess - just enjoy the fact that you don't have to starve yourself, you don't have to feel guilty about eating a snack, and…

I had one for 18mths about 2 years ago...... til I got such a bad PID that I was hospitalised and had it removed. I had 4 or 5 bad infections with it....... not a single one before or after. So although it helped with the heavy periods (though didnt stop them) I will never have another; my body obviously hated it. And…

Hello - I understand how you feel completely! And the best advice I can give is don't give up - it will take you a while to lose 56lbs. Set smaller goals - I did 3.5lbs goals (a quarter of a stone).... and treated myself to something when i got there. Some times that was every fortnight, sometimes that was once a month....…

Get some Def Leppard in there....... a must to liven up any day :)

Does that mean that for some tests, your urine tests were absolutely fine.....................

THIS!!! don't fall into the 'you must drown yourself with water' trap..... it will make you ill - so you may lose more weight but at the detriment to your health.
