  • No one ever said life was going to bus fair or easy. Work with what is placed in front of you.
  • I was 480 when I decided to get healthy. Its really hard work but so worth it. Hang in there! Its taken me about 6 years, I stalled our for about 2 years but didn't gain a lot back because I kept trying. Now I am 12 lbs from goal. Good luck, you can do this! You have done great so far!
  • I think you might want to stop dieting for now until you can do it with the supervision of a medical professional.
  • I maintained my regular exercise routine despite it being a holiday. I also stayed within calorie goal despite it being a holiday and having a meal I love but avoid (chicken over rice from the food cart) because I ate to include that meal. Oh! And while we were out shopping I almost bough a snack (snackwell cookies)…
  • That is fabulous!!

  • Love my one, its a good reminder to get going. I prefer the one to the flex because I don't want to have to wear something on my wrist all the time.
  • Stop weighing everyday. Once a week max. Daily fluctuations are natural and will make you crazy. To gauge true loss or gain, step on the scale once a week, same day, after voiding, nekkid.
  • When I was able to run, at 200lbs before my knee replacement, honestly never even thought about the noise I was making. Just super happy I was running. In the words of NIKE: Just do it! 99% of people aren't paying any attention to others because we're focused on our own workout.
  • Its unfortunate because he could do so much good. The format of the show is great: a lot of simple, visual props to explain the idea. I thinks that's great but the information he is sharing is 99% garbage. He jumps from one diet bandwagon to the next. And yes, weight loss is a huge issue for women but there are so many…
  • I eat my dinner late (7:30-8:00) and still have a snack before bed. Its all in the way you budget your calories. I also eat back most of my exercise calories. If I don't, I end up binging after a few days. Its like my body is telling me I'm not eating enough and is going to catch up one way or the other. Even without the…
  • I like the Fitbit One. Wear it every day and really helps me to keep track of activity. Serves as a goof reminder to get up and moving. Its small and inconspicuous. I prefer the One to the Flex because the flex is a wristband and I don't want to wear that all the time, especially on hot summer days or with my nice jewelry.
  • Honestly, motivation comes from within. You have to find YOUR reason for getting healthy.
  • I eat them if I am hungry.
  • I agree with this summation. Unfortunately pills are not the answer. First and foremost the key is counting calories and eating at a deficit. Log every single thing that goes into your mouth. Weigh/measure every morsel. Its work and its a pain in the butt, however losing weight is not easy. If it was then none of us would…
  • Just take a deep breath, don't over analyze. If you think you need to be perfect you are going to go crazy and you will fail. Don the best you can, accept your ups & downs, and remember: guilt & worry change nothing, so don't waste the energy. Stay positive and settle in for the long haul.
  • Found this somewhat insulting-- I never thought that looking at an overweight person, including myself, as a punishment. way to encourage self loathing/poor self esteem. Women have enough body image problems. I eat my dinner a little late and leave room in my calorie budget for a bedtime snack if I need it.
  • Lol! My only odd thing: I'm scared of crickets.
  • Love it!!!!!
  • Exactly!!
  • I don't know what happened to Dr. Oz. he could have used his platform for education, but he is a salesman, and not a good one. He changes his product daily. I like The doctors better,
  • I love yard work, its something I always enjoyed but as I got heavier, couldn't do it. Now I spend hours just puttering around the yard, mowing a couple times a week, trimming. Love doing it and the fact that I can1
  • I agree. I have never counted a macro, although KUDOS to those who choose to, seems like a lot of work. The only thing I do is try to make sure I have protein at every meal. My sister has lost 50 labs and she is just eating at a deficit. Hasn't done any exercise either, although she is starting to, she realizes she is not…
  • When I was training myself to drink water, I stopped drinking all other beverages until it became a habit. Now I drink only water, about 80 oz a day and one glass of unsweetened iced tea. If I drink all my water, I may have a diet soda (gingerly, sprite) as treat at night. Occasionally have a hot cup of tea if I need…
  • I am a huge egg fan. I have at least one a day and frequently 3-4 a day. My doctor told me that eggs contain good cholesterol, and as noted previously, that helps lower the bad. He said that eggs are very nutritious & healthy.
  • I love my exercise calories, can eat pretty much what I am in the mood for. I exercised a lot yesterday, earned 1700 calories and had a great lunch at Moe's. And honestly if I try not to eat them, in a few days I end up binging like crazy. Its like my body is telling me it wants more and if I don't eat enough its going to…
  • You are doing wonderfully, keep up the good work!!!!!!!
