My gym sells smoothies and protein bars. There are cafe tables near the entrance where I have seen people eating salad and sandwiches. I myself will have a peanut butter sandwich sitting on the bench in the locker room after my workout. At my old gym in NYC there were several women who would bring food from the street…

Just a nice, happy, confident man. There are some physical attributes that may catch my eye: taller than me, not hairy, lean hands, nice shoulders. But a man can have all that and if he is a ****, won't impress me.

It is up to you to make the commitment and make changes. Start small. Don''t try to be perfect, change one thing at a time. For example give up soda first. When you have that knocked switch out a salad for the fries. In addition start adding exercise, even if it is a 10 min walk each day. Build from there. Feel free to add…

Sounds like you avoided the train to crazy town. I would have ept the phone.

Honestly, it is up to you to get off your butt and back on track, no matter what anyone says. However, I do agreethat the smash or pass and the rate the person threads are juvenille and pointless. And I never go in them, waste of time.

For me it is. I exercise hard and once I get into it, I don't think much about what is stressing me out and when I am done Whatever is bothering me doesn't seem so dire. Plus I feel so great just about getting it done that I find it hard to be stressed about other things.

I started going to the gym at 420 lbs. I assumed people would stare, make negative comments but said to myself: if they don't like what they see they can avert their eyes. If they say anything nasty, they are the a**holes. I am going for my health and that's it. I barely lasted 15 min but I did it. Now I am a gym rat. I…

You shouldn't feel guilty.. you didn't murder anyone. I think getting guilt feelings over food is one of the most important things we have to rid ourselves of. I used to have a "cheat" day but that goes along with the idea of doing something bad (cheating is bad). I decided to start eating healthy consistently and if a…

I never forget to eat. Ever.

This too!!!! I'm not even silent about it! I will go up to people and encourage them, tell them I've lost over 250 lbs with diet and exercise. I know its hard and encouragement always helps!!!

I started at the gym when I was 420 lbs-- and I had lost 60 lbs at that point. I was definitely the biggest girl there. I admit I was a bit intimidated but I said screw it. If they don't like looking at me, they can avert their eyes. If they want to snicker and make comments behind my back, they are the a--holes. Bottom…

Spend time with loved ones, eat whatever I want, pick up a pack of cigarettes and start smoking again, and tell hubby to load up on viagra because after I tell the important people in my life how much I love them and how much they have meant to me, we are going to be getting down and dirty every moment I am not eating or…

I like it!! Made me laugh!

I agree with this. I always have a bedtime snack, still have lost a lot of weight.

Perfect!! Eveyone MYOB when it comes to weight.

Its very hard sometimes not to use any excuse to eat. Some things to distract and refocus: - make a list of goals/things that motivate you and keep it handy. Refer to it for inspiration. - exercise until the desire to eat passes: 10 squats, 10 sit ups, 10 push ups, 10 jumping jacks - if you need to munch: popcorn. Eat it…

All of their cereal, especially the banana nut clusters. Sesame soy vinaigrette dressing. The 100 calorie chocolate bars are a great portion controlled snack.

I go first thing in the morning and look at it as being as mandatory as going to work, I have no choice. If I try to talk myself out of it I use a technique that a trainer told me: Go to the gym and at least touch the door. If you truly still don't feel like working out then turn around and go home. Personally, I have…

Major congrats!! I think one piece of advice you don't hear frequently is don't worry about the sagging skin - just do it. I hae a saggy bod and love every floppy inch. Its a badge of accomplishment!

I always exercise first thing in the morning. I have to eat breakfast beforehand. Its not a huge breakfast -- usually a homemade egg/veggie fritatta (I make then in muffin tins so that is one serving with either a whole or 1/2 multigrain english muffin, and a 8oz of skim milk. I would never be able to exercise without…

It was a good finale. The kids did great, I thought the prom dress was adorable. I actually thought this season was a bit boring, I kind of like it when there a bit more competition & plotting/fighting/general evilness. I do find the show inspirational but I see people working hard, losing weight at the gym all the time.…

It has a lot of good features but I use it primarily to track my steps... like to make sure I do 15,000 a day, and to track my sleep habits. Its very good.. the only thing I don't think is really accurate is the stair counter.

Definitely sugary foods. I can binge on anything that has a high sugar content ... cake, candy, chocolate, ice cream, etc. I cannot have even a little because that will start a binge that lasts at least a day... usually takes me at least 3 days to pull myse4lf out of it. I know there are some who would argue whether or not…

You are doing great! Congratulations!!

Went to Walmart after working out to do the grocery shopping and although I had a snack before walking in the store.. the junk food craving was overwhelming. I didn't realize how much candy and crap they have displayed near the check out. I almost caved but walked out with only the healthy things I had on my list. The…

If you can handle both then go for it. Definitley do the PX 90 before the treadmill. I used to do cardio before strength and my trainer said to switch it so that you give full strenth to the strength workout and that is better for muscle development. He does have me do a 10-15 min warm up on the treadmill or elliptical…
