Wrong! I am considered overweight by 40 lbs. my blood pressure, labs (cholesterol, blood sugar), heart function are absolutely perfect according to my doctor. He has told me that if I choose not to lose another pound I will be perfectly fine. That is because I exercise daily and try to eat healthy most of the time. Now I…

Wear whatever is going to help you work out to the best of your ability. I am no fashion plate going in and damn proud I am a hot sweaty mess when done. I have lost a lot of weight and have a lot of loose skin on my thighs and arms. I look terrible in a bathing suit but that will not stop me from doing laps & water…

I think the author is actually stating the obvious. No matter what goal we are trying to reach there is always a crab or two lurking in the wings trying to pull us down. I've run into it at school, work, and in my personal life. I think it comes down to having good self esteem and inner strength. I have never really cared…

You already know what the problem is. You can't out-exercise poor nutrition, aka binging every weekend. If you are so stressed that emotional eating is overwhelming you, then you need counseling to address those issues. Motivation comes from within, not others. You need to find reasons to diet and exercise that truly…

I hate to tell you but you are destined to fail if your goal is just to lose weight as quick as possible. You should be focusing on developing long lasting healthy eating habits because losing it is the relatively easy part, keeping it off is the true challenge.

Whatever you decide to do, please don't do anything that will humiliate him in front of his friends. Kids are so cruel it could do more than teach him a lesson, it can lead to serious psychological issues. How many times do we hear about kids who were bullied turning into school shooters? I love the idea of changing the…

This pretty much sum it up perfectly. And of course a pound of fat weighs more than a pound of muscle.

Let's get back to the banging, shall we?

Be patient, it takes time to figure out a plan and then for the plan to work. Trial & error, ups & downs but you fail only if you give up! Take care, good luck.

I count calories and as far as forcing myself to eat "healthy", I believe everything in moderation. I do try new dishes that interest me and those that are low calorie are the ones I gravitate towards. Do whatever works for you! I did train myself to give up Splenda in my tea because I was using too much artificial…

I know people find it "shallow" if you admit to being attracted or turned off by a certain type person/attribute. But we all have preferences and there is nothing wrong with that. I have no problem admitting I like black men over white men, I like brunettes over blondes, short hair over long. While I will date white guys,…

My hubby was never terribly supportive but didn't put down my efforts. He would bring me my favorite chocolate croissants or peanut butter cookies. I would say thank you for being thoughtful, I just ate will have it later, and just not eat it. He is the fast food king and sometimes it's hard not to jump on that train with…

Exactly!!!! And as for eating, same thing, whatever works for you.

I love eggs and have fried eggs a couple times a week, good source of protein. Everything in moderation.

Gotta love this!!! My plan exactly!!

Yes because of the diabetes issue. If I eat 1200 of either day in, day out I will lose weight. I will be hungry because the candy will not fill me up like the broccoli but still amounts to a calorie deficit if I burn 1800 cal and eat only 1200 calories in candy. I'm glad you found what works for you..although personally I…

If they didn't want me when I was fat, I don't want them when I'm thinner. I was always pretty confident. Everyone has their preference, if someone doesn't like big women that's ok. Their choice. I actually prefer a medium build man and never dated anyone shorter. No reflection on them, just what I like.

Sugar free vanilla pudding with fruit (fresh or canned). My fav is with 1/2 cup canned pineapple tidbits.

An additional no::: muscle does not weigh more than fat. A pound of muscle is equal to a pound of fat, just like a pound of feathers is equal to a pound of lead. A pound of feathers takes up more space than a pound of lead (like fat takes up more space than muscle) but a pound is a pound is a pound is a pound.

Pretty sure we are all gonna die, lol.

I have a fitbit one, I love it! Really helps me to see how active I have been during the day and how much sleep I am getting. I know that fitbit, I think the flex & the new version, are worn on the wrist but personally I would not choose this option. I don't want to wear something like that with my nice jewelry and in the…

I read that the coarser cut steel cut oats will stay with you longer than the instant/minute. Takes longer for the stomach to process don't get hungry as quick. I don't eat them so I cannot attest to the validity of this statement.

Actually I find it interesting. There is a long-standing debate oncaloriesin/out vs nutrition/exercise as the way to lose weight. This post gives points to the former. And how about getting off your high horse? No one said they live for the burger. And some of us have managed to do quite well still incorporating some…

Wow, thanks everyone. You have given me a lot of leads & I really appreciate it!

Even at my highest weight I was always freezing, still freezing, lol.

Sorry you are not her cup of tea, lol.

I was thinking the same thing. Its just a contest, like survivor, etc. If I had the energy to do it. Lose weight and win a butt load of money....oh yea.

Hubby is definitely a chubby chaser. Used to date the super Bbw's although we didn't meet when I was quite that big. I have lost 100 lbs since we met and he would love for me to stay at this weight...he feels that I am perfect right now. He is supportive of my continuing to lose weight for health benefits but he loves my…
