Definitely watch Bolt... Rhino is the best!!! Chubs Arnold Bowser Gluteus Hulk Had a cat named Stupid whwn I was growing up (not sure why we named him that). WRONG choice for an outdoor cat that we called in at night!

Wow, a really dumb, judgemental remarkl. When Hubby & I first moved in together I was 45 he was 38... and we got a couple guinea pigs. We both love animals, couldn't have a dog or a cat and our little cuddlers were perfect. Guess that makes us... what... immature? Stupid?

Just say no!!!!!! The receptionist at my gym was selling them yesterday. Seriously, at the gym????? Love them but walked away, love my healthy life more.

definitely this. And don't be embarassed... the guy who sounded kind of sarcastic should be embarassed. I don't think anyone should push so hard as to injure themselves but pushing hard to challenge limits.. heck ya!!

Just as it is rude and pretentious to tell those of us who follow ci/co and don't care about macronutrients that we are wrong, it doesn't work, etc. Bottom line, you can sing whatever diet song you want... there's no one size fits all plan... no need to get pissed off and snotty because you don't like what others are…

Have to agree, changing it up constantly makes it interesting.

^This^ I do better eating small, frequent meals - helps me ward off hunger and prevent cravings. The only thing that my trainer has indicated re: metablolism is to eat within 30 min of completing my workout, something with protein, and that will boost my metabolism as well as help with muscle repair.

^this^ If I see a thread I don't like I don't open it or exit quietly. Nice job calling someone looking for help lazy. Sometimes the old threads are too numerous to sift through or not specific enough to the question. Or maybe some of us like the actual interaction of asking a question and getting answers.

People suck, people steal. Such is life, unfortunately thats why locks were invented. And I'm sure most people, especially theives, are not concerned with the quality of Shelsea's gym experiencce, despite being the special little snowflake she is.

Depends, which is more important... your weight loss goal or the 20 min pleasure of eating a pizza.

Definitely give encouragement... if you think someone would get weirded out by an actual high five, keep it verbal. I love it when people recognize how hard I work, because I do.

^This^ It took me many years resolutions to finally make it stick. And people judging me didn't help.

Sounds like you are determined to succeed, and that is great. I learned a long time ago that getting my drunk on is just not worth it for many reasons: useless calories, costs too much, hate the hangover, and the things that can happen when your judgement is impaired can have lifelong consequences. I enjoy activities all…

You need to set a realistic goal. You said you would be happy with one pound... aim for that and the motivation that results from frequent success help you reach your ultimate goal. If you happen to lose more, great! You will get frustrate if youconstantly try for an unobtainable goal.. and three pounds a week is not…

Yep, time to put your eye on the prize again, you know you can succeed! Feel free to add me!

It does ultimately come down to you controllong your choices. When you are going off track, if a piece of fruit doesn't appeal to you then you are not really hungry. If you don't care and want something anyway, ask yourself what is more important to you, the chocolate/cookie/leftover porkchop, whatever it is, or your…

Not much.. Most of the time I'm asleep by the time the ball drops. I lived. In NYC for 4 years and hubby always offered to take me to Times Square but I find the crowds there overwhelming on a normal day, never mind NYE. No thank you!

Before I go to bed I prepare my gym clothes, gym bag, and post workout snack. I even prepare as much of breakfast as I can (ex. Tonight, I hard boiled my egg, cut my English muffin, and put my juice glass on the counter). That way I can sleep as long as possible, eat, get dressed and go. Make sure you are getting enough…

My hubby calls me fat, but not in a mean way. To him its just a description, and its accurate, I am fat. Doesn't bother me. As long as he loves what I have, and treats me well, its just an adjective.

I don't care what other people do or say, never have. For a long time I didn't care about being fat - if others didn't like it, their loss. I lost weight for my health and to please me. I didn't occupy wall street, I never drank or did drugs, didn't beat the fat acceptance drum, and don't plan to jump onto any bandwagon,…

You did the right thing. When my mom was told she was ok with it. She told us that she had had a good life with a wonderful husband (my dad died 30 years ago and she never remarried) and great kids. She just wanted to come home. The doctors gave her 2 months, but she died 8 days after being given the news, one day after we…

GG Scandinavian Bran Crispbreads for any type of cracker. I use them for salsa; top them with PB, bananas & honey; chocolate spread; tuna salad. Trader Joes seasame ginger vinagrette for peppercorn ranch dressing. Salad instead of fries or chips when dining out. Homemade egg, ham & veggie frittatas and toasted lighy…

To get used to being hands free, go as slow as you need to until you find your balance. This may take a week or two and then start increasing your speed. The long term benefits of using the treadmill hands free outweigh the short term benefits of going faster but having to hold on.
