You're a compulsive eater. Only YOU can work out a plan to stop doing that. You're in control of your own plan. You can do it: IF, WHEN, and HOW...that you're "ready".

It's easy~~~I don't do Halloween any more. Besides that, it's a pagan celebration.

Excellent advice.

Welcome to my Heart Healthy World The Making of the New You Welcome to the beginning of your new, healthier lifestyle. You have embarked on a great program where you are the only one “in charge” of your own personally developed nutrition and exercise program on My Fitness Pal (MFP). From my age of 18 until the present,…

Wow! You were lucky he didn't attack you. I hope you're skilled at using that .45 and practice target shooting on a regular basis. By the way, that was not a "rant". Your safety was at risk. Congratulations for taking the appropriate action by notifying the homeowner.

Raise your protein levels at meal times. Your glucose (sugar) levels have probably dropped below what your system can deal with. You need to make an appointment with your primary physician (make certain you print off a copy of your daily food diary and exercise diary for at least 7 days to take with you). Make written…

HIGHEST PRIORITY ADVICE: Do NOT consider knee surgery (if it has been suggested) until you have lost all those fat pounds. Most of the time, those who end up with knee surgery are either heavily overweight or they're morbidly obese. When we are unkind to our bodies and pile on the extra pound after pound, all that extra…

That cardio (running) burns fat~~~leaving lean muscle. Your heart, your lungs and your general overall body systems are loving you for doing it. The potential problem: If you're running where there's a lot of vehicle traffic, you're breathing in a lot of carbon monoxide rather than the uptake of the oxygen the body systems…

Outstanding commitment and courageous for such remarkable progress. Keep staying with your program to KEEP SAVING YOUR LIFE. Your heart and your family will love you for doing that.

Thanks for posting this. I can't be of any help to you but appreciate you letting others know about problems with the machine. I keep looking at it as I breeze through Costco all the time and while wondering if a $150 coffee machine is really worth that price. I've seen all the little gourmet coffee k-cups while quietly…

It's probably a "pipe dream" goal. Just stay with your program, one day at a time/one meal at a time, faithfully. Stay with your fitness program to burn the fat. Your body is in charge. If you expect too much too soon, you're setting yourself up for failure. Be kinder to yourself. You'll be drop dead gorgeous again when…

I went to your blog site and those photos are excellent. Congratulations on becoming heart healthy. Suggestion: Your site layout is very nice but that background photo, even though it's very breathtaking and excellent, makes reading the blog somewhat difficult. You may wish to consider revising the fonts to BOLD type…

What that nutritional value chart does NOT show: 1. The size of the portion/serving 2. The "culprit" in that high calorie level is most likely the PESTO sauce. Pesto contains a lot of olive oil and often, finely ground up nuts. Pesto Sauce Rated: Submitted By: sal Photo By: 5boys2cook4 Prep Time: 10 Minutes Ready In: 20…

It's obvious that your mind-set is that you're not totally committed to becoming healthy yet. Perhaps what I will post below might help you. It's what I send to new MFP friends. Read on: Welcome to my Heart Healthy World The Making of the New You Welcome to the beginning of your new, healthier lifestyle. You have embarked…

Most important: do NOT overcook any fish! :)
-
I'm with you... if it smells like fish, it's not fresh. Try to find the COLD WATER fish (Atlantic coast or Arctic). I'm finding that most of the whitefish is nicer. I tried the new French's Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce (available in most supermarkets) with mine. I put one level tablespoon of it on the plate along with a…

I fell for their phony spiel of "looking for people to test the product". Tried it for a few days and realized it was a bunch of crap. Shipped the entire stuff they sent BACK to them and made certain they refunded all that I paid them too. RipOff company! There is no quick fix to losing weight. In the past 11+ months, I've…

Your profile is blocked so I don't know if you "qualify" for the local senior center fitness program or not. Local area senior centers usually have a treadmill or two that would permit you to run indoors as an alternative. Another option is to join the local Ymca/ywca.
-
I bought a smaller set on Amazon dot com several months ago. You do not need that expensive set. You might find local area classes more fun though...and more motivating. Check your local Ymca/ywca. Sometimes, area church groups offer classes (so the member can work off all the stuff they pig out on at the church suppers).

It's time for you to admit to yourself~~~you're a compulsive eater. You're the one in total control of your life and behavior. It's up to you to change those behaviors, if, when, and how~~~that you're ready. You're either totally committed to becoming heart healthy or you are not. It's your choice. GL, :)

Here's an exercise calorie burn list of more choices. It's geared according to your personal weight, etc. If I was doing that today, at my present weight: 60 minutes of chopping wood = 315 calories. Well done but you need to re-evaluate your lifestyle, nutritional balance and activity (exercise) to get that total cholesterol level down a lot more. Stay with your program~~~you're doing great :)
-
You are truly BLESSED to have an HDL level that high. It's the TOTAL CHOLESTEROL of 200 that you need to bring down. Keeping the total that high increases your risk for blockage in your coronary (heart) arteries. SUGGESTION: Make an appointment with your physician and BRING: a print out of your daily food diary from the…

You are all sooooooooooo funny but~~~now that I think about it, in the the past 11 months, I lost a whole Red Flyer Wagon loaded with SOLID FAT. If you want to know what that looks like, ask your local butcher in the meat market. BTW, I "lost" it and I never want it back so please don't send me to the "lost 'n found"…

Weird!
