  • Whole milk is an easy way to add calories at the end of the day. Sometimes I use it in a protein shake and sometimes just by itself.
  • Great job man! I think your IMG tags need to be lowercase to show the pics.
  • Hey Sparky, Sorry to hear things aren't going well. Just try to take it one day at a time. Feel free to friend me if you would like some more support.
  • Pretty good. Hit my BF% goal, switched over to maintenance/ lean bulk and started p90x. It is kinda weird eating so much with the extra workout calories but I am trying to make adjustments. It sucks needing to still eat 1200 calories before bed after I get done working out at 9PM.
  • Just take it one day at a time. After the first week or two it will be easier to see how to shave off a few calories from each meal. For instance with your 300 calorie overage (which is not too bad), I find it much easier to remove ~100 calories from each meal than try to take off all 300 at dinner.
  • After you steam them you can make a glaze of mustard and vegetable stock to toss them in.
  • You might try drinking more whole milk. A large glass at night can make up a lot of missing calories.
  • I started Insanity at around 200 lbs and about a month into my diet/exercise change. I have had knee problems in the past and was worried they would come back so I was careful with the jumping. I highly recommend a heart rate monitor with a chest strap and an alarm if you exceed your target heart rate. Then I would do it…
  • If you log into the website, not the phone app, you can customize your settings. I only used my Ipad for most of a year and had the same issue. Then I logged into the website to show a friend and found out you can change all the settings there.
  • I really think the first week or two on MFP should have no dietary goals. Just log and see what you eat now. Then once you have an idea of how much you are eating it is easier to make changes. It is easier to know you need to reduce every meal by 1/3 or 1/2 than it is to "run out" of calories by lunch. You might try to…
  • I used an Omron HR-100C and it worked for me (~$30 on Amazon). It is pretty basic but had alarms for too high and too low of a HR. It doesn't calculate calories burned but I just wanted to make sure I didn't die while doing Insanity. It is still working about a year later so I got my money worth.
  • I didn't think I would get this low either. I was shooting for 175 but still didn't like how I looked in the mirror so stuck with the diet. I am mostly following the Primal Blueprint from marksdailyapple.com. The main thing I worry about is keeping my carbs below 100 grams a day and my protein above 150 grams a day. I am…
  • Thanks! 230 down to 150. I'm 35 and 5'10". I Plateaued hard for 3 months on weight but my body fat was still dropping. Keep with it and you will get there.
  • Well I don't post much at either place. Same user name over there. I am down 80 pounds from last August and trying to maintain right now.
