  • You may want to check this out... I just found it and it opened my eyes to quite a few things... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/153704-myth-or-fact-simple-math-3500-calories-one-pound-eat (and I just switched my goal from 1 lb to .5 lb)
  • Personally, I don't get it either... I have read both side of the fence (Do and Don't) and both logics seem to make complete sense. However, I wish there was a way I could log my exercise and it won't add to my "net" calories. I figure if I can maintain while eating 1400 "net" calories (this includes a 300-400 calorie burn…
  • Mine is the first letter of my first name Casey and I'm a Momma to(2) three(3) children.. and coincidentally I was 23 at the time I created my profile :)
  • No I'm not taking fish oil... However, I do plan on talking to the doctor about it (and other supplements) this morning. I tried several times two take a one-a-day for women but the iron or folic acid content makes me sick and I can never keep the vitamin down. For now, I've been taking my kid's active vitamin. (It's for…
  • I feel the same way... I don't like the ER at all because they generally don't/won't do anything for you unless it is a life threatening urgent need.
  • On occasion... usually 1-2 days a week, but here lately I haven't rested at all. I find it hard to rest because working out relieves depression, anxiety, and I eat better on days I exercise.
  • Thanks! I do not have any swelling just stiffness and pain. I can walk and keep the knee stiff and not move it with minimal pain, but once I try to move it and utilize it.. It feels as if my leg is going one way and my knee is going the other. I suffer from severe tendonitis in my wrist so I have 800mg Ibuprofen for pain,…
  • MFP does overestimate calorie... If you truly want to know your burn, invest in an HRM. No two workouts are ever the same... I can do the same exercise twice and have up to a 100 calorie burn difference on the HRM depending on how hard I pushed during each exercise.
  • And if you want to know your true calorie burn I would recommend buying a HRM. I invested in one and I love every benefit it gave me!
  • ^^ What She Said ^^ I clean two houses a week. Meaning for about 2.5 - 3.5 hours straight constant movement... Sometimes I even sweat a little... However, I don't log this as exercise. Because it is part of my lifestyle, my routine, my daily activity. The only exercise I log are my workout programs, running on the…
  • Sorry, no advice here but I'm right there riding this thing out with you!
  • I am doing Chalean Extreme now and I love it... I'm in the push month... However, I ordered Insanity... so I am cutting it short and I am going to do Insanity and add the weight lifting circuits when I can because I love weights. ;)
  • From experience... they don't always taste good... you have to spend good money to get one that doesn't taste like cardboard... I also, saw someone mention Shakeology, that stuff is amazing t0o! But, it is extremely loaded with so many nutrients that I actually drink Shakeology from time to time as meal replacement... plus…
  • I use P90X Results and Recovery (depends on my mood depends on the recipe I use) but, I love that stuff... it really keeps my muscles from being so sore.
  • I am 5'1" started my journey at 174. First goal weight 145 (met in 2010) Second goal weight 135 (met in 2011) My ultimate goal is 115 OR 120-125 WITH a decreased body fat percentage. I have been stuck between 135 and 140 forever... Then, I tried something new and this week the scale said 134! SO I'M SUPER MOTIVATED NOW! :)
  • haha! I know what you mean also! My new goal.... I'm going to start getting drunk on water! haha.
  • My motto is Chalene's motto... GO HEAVY OR GO HOME! :) Our bodies are much more capable than our minds believe.
  • I too have the same goal weight and like you... I'm Starting Over AGAIN! :) WE CAN DO THIS!
  • I like the second one because it's more classy.
  • I would encourage her to do what you do. Eat healthier, exercise together, it would be good for her and good for you. You should be her inspiration, but right now I feel she may unsure how to get to where you are, so instead she is bitter. Also, if she doesn't choose to make the lifestly changes that you have, it will be…
  • I can't jump on a trampoline anymore. After my first kid, it was possible... After the second kid... well, I can't, and I miss it so much. But, I do find that if I drink a lot I leak doing jumping jacks :( However, if you are experiencing leakage without movement, I would see a doctor because this may be signs of a serious…
  • I don't have TuboFire yet. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Santa is going to deliver it) However, I have TurboJam & ChaLEAN Extreme, both of which I L-O-V-E.... so what program should I follow with the TurboJam?
  • I like to eat my veggies sometimes with the laughing cow cheese wedges. The light ones are only 35 calories a wedge. I melt it in the microwave for appx 15 seconds. Occasionally, I add in salsa or taco bell mild restraunt sauce with the cheese. (They sell the sauce in a jar at wal-mart, it's not a particularly 'clean'…
  • I went from a size 8.5 to 7 after losing 40 lbs. So yes, your feet are getting skinny too! :p
  • I allow myself break days. But, even then I subconsciously think portion control, etc. I do this to keep from getting "grumpy" But, I realize when I have these "break" days I feel like crap. As opposed to days I track, count, eat healthy, I feel GREAT!
  • They are very much effective and will build muscle. And... Muscle burns fat. :)
  • Chicken breast boiled, all fat trimmed, whole wheat pasta, and light Ragu for sauce. Add in some minced garlic, mushrooms, and or black olives if you like, for added zing because the light Ragu is slightly bland. (I add some sweet peas in mine too because it eliminates the need for a "side" dish and gives you some veggies)…
  • Thanks everyone else for your feedback! It's so easier to deal with knowing that I am not alone.
  • Exactly! My initial was 145, then 140, then 130. I have an ULTIMATE weight loss goal of 120-125. But, I realize the slower I allow myself to lose it, the more likely I am to keep it off, and I don't feel so stressed and worried with the numbers on the scale. But, I do agree with you completely about being on the high end…
