If you just want to just leave a playlist/Runkeeper running and not play too much with the buttons, I actually use one of the small stretchy sacs you clip round your waist to carry gel packs (cost me about £2), Stretches enough to hold phone in place, keeps it dry and works for me!

I use the JVC Jelly ones which have always worked great for me. About a £5 in Asda in a variety of colours

Had hoped to do more this week but at least I'm out there. to check in: Wk 1 - 9.75 Wk2 - 8.75 Wk 3 - 10.25 Need to get going some to squeeze in those last miles!

Just small runs being fitted in so far this week - 2 miles on both Mon and Tues and 3 miles today. Still takes me up to 25.5 miles this month so just over half way there! Need to crank it up at the weekend though!!

Apologies. Went away to a wedding and forgot to check in beforehand. My total so far this month is now 18.5 miles. need to step up the pace!

A tricky 6.75 miles today, with two hard lessons learned 1 - don't do major squats the day before a long run, particularly if you're not used to them (oooooooooooowh) and 2 - don't try new energy shots in days post a stomach upset (double ooooooooooooowh). Still, sure it's worth it!

I only managed 3 yesterday but it's a start after illness and plan to make up for it the rest of the month!

I think the problem could be not just strectching hip flexors but underactive glutes too from sitting about.
