Most of the times, if I don't order something that fits into my calorie goal, I ask for a to go box when I get my meal and put half in it as soon as I get it. That way, I only eat what's on my plate and won't eat the whole plate just because it's in front of my face.

Yes!! I totally agree with this. The word cheat makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong. I'm looking at my weight loss journey as a lifestyle change and I want my lifestyle to include going out with friends or having takeout. etc. It's all about moderation and holding yourself accountable.

I found a series on Netflix to watch and only watch at the gym. So if I want to know what happens next I have to go back to the gym. It works for me.

Me too! I've lost 15 lbs in just a little under 2 months. I'm excited to see what I can from here. I'm also excited to start noticing the change in myself and for others to as well. Good luck to you on your journey!

I love making chicken salad with avocado instead of mayo. It has chicken, avocado, tomato, lime juice and cilantro! According to the MFP recipe builder it's 262 calories a serving.

I'm asking for the Polar FT4 (in pink!) for Christmas. It has amazing reviews and based on the product description it does everything I'll need it to. No regrets yet - but it's only noon. Haha. But I always log what I eat. That way I can hold myself accountable for the bad food decisions I'm making.

For me it isn't about avoiding it because then I'll just want it even more. It's about portion control. And even if I do eat more than I should, I'll make sure to log it so I can be accountable for what I'm eating. I don't consider it 'cheating' if I log it - because then I'm being honest with myself for what I ate and…

I've definitely enjoyed working out so far. I go by myself and I love the time alone. I use the app Map My Run to track my jogs/walks and everyday I try to beat my mile time from the day before. (I'm at 15 minutes a mile so far!) Anyway, I'm totally with you on the exercise thing.

The thing that makes me the most nervous is failing. I haven't really told anyone I'm going to seriously attempt this cause I don't want anyone to know if I fail.
