I love books and reading. Mostly crime stuff, both fluffy fiction and harder fiction. I'm not as keen on 'real crime' b/c I feel it sensationalizes the evil doers who committed the crimes and I'd rather not give them any glory. I do like books about the real ways crimes are solved, for example "Death's Acre". I also enjoy…

There are games online that you can play to help you be motivated. No, seriously. They give you missions where you have to 'outrun' an enemy, pick up supplies then bring them to town to decide who gets them etc. They use real world miles that you track when you run, you can still make your own soundtrack etc. A friend of…

I may eventually switch to a vest, then again I may not. The end goal is running, which I do not want to do weighted. I guess I'm not sure I want to spend money on a vest I may only use a month or so, just til the ice then the muck is cleared from the sidewalks. I used to have to walk 2+ hours to work and the grocery store…

Ok, looks like I'll stick with a backpack for now. It has padded straps and a waist strap.

You can do them how you want. I split them into sets. I did 5 sets of however many made it come out to the proper amount for the day, with maybe a 30 second break between sets. I found making set 2 and 4 a different kind of squat (sumo) I was able to do them all.

Definitely check it out. As people have said, it depends what you are looking for, but it sounds like you are looking for cardio which they have plenty of plus tv's with headphone ability if watching tv while you do your cardio will help motivate you. If you have a friend or two who might be willing to go with you, one of…

I'm looking to lose about 55 lbs total. I'd like to start running eventually, but not til the ice has melted off of the sidewalks (not running with weight). I just thought adding weight to the walk would intensify the 'workout'. I know it won't be crazy dramatic, but every little bit helps.

I always try to be nice, until he won't accept that it isn't going to happen. Even if they originally come off as 'creepy', I try to be nice until they give me reason not to b/c some guys are just awkward and don't realize they are being creepy. No reason to be rude unless dude won't back off.

I'm one day behind, so yesterday was my 130 Squat day. Done!! Keep up the good work everyone!

Hearts and prayers to the runners and their loved ones. Why would someone do such a horrible thing? I hope they are caught swiftly and punished very harshly.

50 Squats done. 30 Regular, 20 Sumo.

I'm in. Should I do them before or after my miles for the April 50 mile challenge?

It is a mushy, slick mess outside. I'm in. :) If I get used to walking, maybe by May I'll be running!!

Way to go, Tex! Your face pics look like a different person! Your body pics look amazing as well. You are getting so close to the 100 lb mark! Do you have a little prize planned for yourself? You definitely deserve one! I'm glad you kept working through your plateau and didn't give up; it can be so frustrating but you just…

You are doing insanity 6 days a week, so not only are burning an insane number of calories but likely adding muscle you haven't had before. 1200 cals a day probably isn't enough. If you aren't getting enough then your body goes into panic mode and holds onto EVERY thing it can (your history of disordered eating probably…

Me too! I could hear it in the other room and had to leave the house. Now my boss has 'discovered' GoT and I'm having to relive it all over again. I warned her, do NOT get attached to anyone. Used to be real active, moved across the country and got a smidge geeky. Now I'm trying to get the active back while keeping my geek…

Wii is a good start, much better than nothing. You've got the food tracking down so go you!! Stick with Wii til you crave more. Maybe doing a little something before the Wii to increase the challenge?

The Player b/c A. the Player chose to play the game. B. the game would not exist w/o the Player.

I'm glad you asked this question, I'm trying to get enough water, but it is cold here and tea is my main beverage. Thank again.
