6.66 miserable miles biked/walked Here I thought I'd be productive and it toally backfired. I had school this morning at 8:00. I got up early, dropped my son off with my boyfriend and made it to school on time. At 11:00, I took my car to the shop to get the brakes fixed. I brought my bike with me so that I could bike from…

Ok, so I checked out the link to the spreadsheets and saw that I made two of the three lists :drinker: I then thought about it and realized what a freakin slacker I have become :noway: SSssssoooooo.... I have registered for the following so that I have no excuse: 1. Susan G Komen Race for the Cure 5K walk on 09/25/2011 2.…

15 miles biked today. It would have only been 6 miles total to and from the lake to see the Air Show practice, but there was a fire on the north side and I am super nosy. Sooo, I biked to the end of Lake Shore Drive just to see the fire. Then remembered I had to get back home. It was rough because I was exhausted, but I…

Happy July everyone!!!! After a huge slump in June, I am back in for July with full force. My motivation for putting in so many miles before was in training for the Avon Walk. However, once I was done, my exercising dropped to almost non-existent. So, I have set a new goal for myself.....I will be running my first 5K in…

Friends, I am so sorry for having fallen off the wagon this month!! I honestly have not worked out but FOUR days this entire month!!! I don't really know what happened. I trained for six months for the Avon Walk and once it was done, I just stopped. Besides the two days of walking, I only ran on the treadmill…

I know I've MIA for a while, but a lot has been going on. I HAVE been doing an EA Active 30 Day Challenge, but not the walking/running. I wound up having to do a major cram session to study for my Statistics class. I needed to do a retake of my Final in order to get financial aid and.....I PASSED it this morning!!!!…

I just started the 30 Day Challenge yesterday....AGAIN. When I first got it, I really liked it, but lacked the motivation to keep up with it. It really does feel great, especially on the legs. I'm about to do Day 2 in a few minutes. You can do it!!!

I LOVE RUNKEEPER THREE!!!! It helped a lot when I was doing the training for the Avon Walk. After the walk, I had a crazy muscle spasm thingy going on in my left shoulder (go figure, not in my legs  ). So, today I went in for a one hour massage  My first and it was AMAZING!!!! BUT, before I did that, I did…

This weekend I will be walking 39.3 miles in the 2-Day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Chicago. I will post a few miles later. I don't want to do too much today, just enough to stay limber for tomorrow. I'm super excited for this walk. It will be my 3rd time participating and I still get ridiculously emotional. A high…

Put me down for 160 miles for June. Now that the Avon Walk will be over this weekend, I can put more time into strength training and don't have to walk everyday according to the schedule. I'm not going to move too much these first few days as the walk this weekend will cover about 40 miles alone!!! :ohwell: Good luck to…

Woke up early this morning and jogged for 15 minutes and 0.93 miles to make up for going to sleep last night. Honestly, I feel more awake right now than any other morning. I don't think I've ever been up and done working out before 7 AM in my life. Now, if I could get myself to get up early EVERY morning, THAT would be…

I agree!!! If we start to concern ourselves with what everyone else is doing, we forget why we joined this thread or MFP for that matter.......to better OURSELVES!!! I root for each and every person that participates in each MYA Challenge. From the person with a 15 mile goal to the person with a 200 mile goal. The fact…
