  • I'm actually doing quite better! I did not feel all that great the first few days of staring Armour. It started turning around at day 5 and then by day 10 I was feeling pretty good! Most days are pretty positive however once a week or so i Have a really drained/wiped out day. Also, around my menstrual cycle week I am…

  • I enjoy the Cathe videos, she has a great selection Also cycling is a favorite for me!
  • Read up on Adrenal Fatigue, see if that might apply to you!
  • Anyone taking CLA supplements? I have an appt coming up this week and she told me depending on my new bloodwork results we might consider adding selenium and CLA. I never really took any medication before. Now that I started thyroid medication it seems I'm taking a lot of other pills to either eliminate deficiencies or…
  • After I injured my Achilles i got a pair of New Balance. In the past these shoes never worked for me but after the injury these were great! I also found FitFlops. They were pretty supportive and I was able to wear them, not all day but from a break from a sneaker.
  • When I do certain cardio machines at the gym my feet go numb after about 20mins, now I wonder if this might be nerve related?? I went back to my show store a few months ago and they traded my shoes for a wider shoe. He thought my feet might be swelling and causing the numbness. The shoes feel very wide now, I even wear…
  • Wow, thanks! I've never heard of this before, very useful info!
  • Might also be Adrenal Fatigue.
  • Newly diagnosed with hypothyroid and adrenal fatigue this year. Coming up on being on Armour medication for 4 weeks. No weight change yet. I'm feeling physically better though so that is a huge step in the right direction. Right now I'm focusing on lifting to build strength and adding in cycling 3 days a week. Trying to…
  • No taking Vitamin D or Calcium supplements within 3 hours of thyroid medication!
  • Some really good advice here, thank you! Hadn't thought of a muzzle, that might be a decent option! I have contracted a trainer in our area and she is going to see if she has some space coming up to take him for a week or two to observe and work with his behavior. She said it is tough though and sometimes you never know…
  • He is not treated special because he is little, we were actually warned of this when we took him to obedience lass. None of the dogs have special privileges, not allowed in bed, on furniture. If anything our boxer gets singled out and goes on walks/runs individually because I feel more comfortable during early mornings…
  • I believe this mainly happened because my kids where involved. Not that I think it excuses the problem. The neighbor walked into my driveway and was greeted by the barking. She stopped and tried to allow the terrier to approach her. He kept about a 6 foot radius from her. When I walked over to yell at the dog he stopped…
  • Yes, I would like to get ahead of this before any other issues arise! He is the smallest of our 3 dogs and he is alpha over them, even our 70lb boxer! The 3 dogs are kenneled together each night and every time we tell them to go to the kennel the terrier goes first and barks at the other 2 dogs when they get to the kennel!…
  • Wow, sorry to hear! I can't offer any help, the thyroid is such a blasted hassle!
  • Anyone supplement with Selenium?
  • Chia seeds, Really!?? Wonder if they should be avoided entirely or just within a couple hours of taking thyroid medications??
  • Nice progress! You have done a great job!
  • I'm new to Deadlifting. Is the form correct on these examples above?
  • I am just starting back cycling but my goal is to lift twice a week full body and cycle 3 days. Core strength is very important. My old gym used to have a 45 minute spin lass with a 15 minute core segment afterwards. For the 2 winters after I did these winter sessions I felt great and was able to increase my road mileage…
  • Awesome! Love your Strength!
  • Very interesting! I'm not sure about my sodium levels but I crave/want pickles and olives pretty regularly? I have low blood pressure and low vitamin D. My adrenals crashed the beginning of the year as well. Crazy how everything is so connected!!
  • Just started Armour last week. Actually went up a few pounds the past few days :( also struggling with allergies/cold right now so haven't noticed much improvement! I'm also hoping this will be the answer I have been searching for!
  • Way to go! Glad you are here!
  • Awesome, glad you are getting back on track! Best of luck to you!
  • Get your adrenals and vitamin D levels checked! I also had to back off heavy exercise for several weeks. Good luck!
  • I try to create a stress free period each day. My daily schedule is packed between kids, work and sports schedule. Life is always interesting and chaotic! I try for 20 minutes a day, when I let my mind calm. Sometimes it is the treadmill, sometimes a book, sometimes it is laying on the floor and just breathing. No…
  • Found this info helpful ladies, thank you!
  • I have been told to go gluten free and dairy free because of hypothyroidism. Not much success yet, but this is all fairly new for me. I think I am feeling better some days so I'm hoping that will become a more regular thing!
