Because G-d, Higher Power, the Universe, or your parents' genetics created you that way. Real answer :) We're all different. Some people have wide hips.

I started my 100+ weight loss with TurboKick. Make sure you don't "stick" your feet on the ground and bounce like they say during the class and that your knees and feet follow the rest of your body.

I started running from 30 seconds at most on January 2010 and have done a marathon, 2 half marathons, a full Ironman, 2 Half Ironmans, a bunch of Sprint and Olympic triathlons, and I have Disney Dopey in January (5K Thursday, 10K Friday, half marathon Saturday, full marathon Sunday). Those 30 seconds when I started where…

Only if you want to be healthy. Weight loss has nothing to do with how healthy you are. Quality of food does. It also affects performance (I got into triathlons after losing 100+ lbs).

Having been a member of 5 local and national chains over the year in the same city, contact them. The Y in particular has their own version of stuff.

I think it's of a when you do them as opposed as to the activity. I.e. a child running, biking, and skipping rope is play. An adult doing it is exercise :D

Food.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE mine. I wanted one for years (I'm a triathlete) and finally got one this year. I love being able to get my run in if I'm unable to get outside early in the morning or later (I work nights and here in Vegas it gets to be 100+ degrees). I love running outside and there's a dog park less than half a mile away…

Google Arthur Boorman DDP Yoga and watch the video.

Then you're not doing the right thing. Have you tried the group classes (Zumba, kickboxing, etc.) at the gym? Running, walking, biking, swimming, dancing, aqua aerobics? Workout videos at home? Indoor boot camps? There's something fun that involves moving out there for everybody.

Get the Garmin Vivofit. Pairs up with a HR monitor. No altimeter like the Fitbit (no credit for going up stairs) but wins out in my opinion because of the HR linking. The Polar Loop is the only other one that links to HR but I tested it out and it dropped out constantly, no issues with the Vivofit. The purple one is…

Ok, I figured out what's going on. MFP estimates I burn 1580 calories a day so it's going off on that. So I changed my daily goal to 1580 and then I can see what the deficit was for the day and it was subtracting from the days I didn't hit 1580. I wish there was a way to manually adjust that. You can adjust many things but…

Then they're doing it wrong.

Oh come on you can't tease like that... what's the name?
-
From reading around for years it was published in a journal that tests showed that a person can burn up to 31 calories per day from fat. So let's take me, 129 lbs, let's assume 20% body fat or so, that's about 26 lbs of fat, times 31, that's 806 calories. So me in particular should not have a deficit larger than that. I've…

Sure! Two hours a day, six days a week, eat right, and you're good to go in a few months. May cause unintentional weight gain down the line though.

Wh's the Whoosh Effect?

What kind of changes have people gone through in a month? Looking to shed about 10 lbs :)
-
I started with five minutes in the elliptical and 4 years later it sort of escalated into a Full Ironman (over 100 lbs lost from a beginning 230 lbs at 5'4").
-
At Garmin Connect it does that. At MFP it does the exact opposite. "1500 GOAL 1522 FOOD + 49 EXERCISE = 1571 NET" Where can I find that checkbox?
-
I was 230 lbs at 5'4" and I'm now 129 lbs (still at 5'4" :) ) and I've been lifting since the beginning.
-
Nope, bodyfat does. You can be beefier than Arnold at his prime and with enough fat you won't be able to see a vein. You can see veins because there's nothing in-between the skin and the veins, so to speak. Fill it up with soft cushy fat and the vein is now hidden.

Looks left.... looks right... looks up... looks down... ;)

Should have said the first person I've ever encountered. As someone who has to spend MONTHS to build a reasonably lean physique and loses most of it in 2 months (wrong end of bike vs. accident), I'm jealous! :)
-
Bulk up the rest of your body. Problem solved. I can honestly say you are the first person who has ever asked how to lose muscle.

Work 8:30p-5a. I'm so happy to be done with work for the day, workout time is happy time for me at 5:30a lol I do a workout when I get out of work and another one before work.

TDEE is just total daily energy expenditure. So Sedentary would be the energy spent being... sedentary. Which WOULD be the same every day. So I think you can get pretty accurate by always using a sedentary TDEE and calculating your exercise calories yourself. It's exactly the same as using the BMR and multiplying by a…

Another one for sedentary and calculate workout calories separately.

Never signed up for one, I don't know why, it just seems like I would have a miserable time getting sprayed with paint and then having to scrub it off lol The one "Novelty 5K" I want to do is a Zombie one, being a Zombie :D

Uhm, it burns MORE :) The body always wants to be at homeostasis. If you are cold it expends calories warming you up. Same reason drinking really cold water makes you burn some calories (and hey even 5 calories a day is half a lb a year without lifting a finger).
