I'm vegan, I'll add you.

Skinny fat is not a body type. It is having the health problems of an obese person because of poor quality diet. It has nothing to do with increasing lean mass or a low carb diet.
-
For smoked tofu use it for something that compliments the smoked flavor. Maybe in chili. For regular tofu, try it with an Italian tomato sauce and pasta. Or substitute it for egg in fried rice. Cook it like meat, brown it and season it with aromatics like onion and garlic first.

I'd suggest using measurements instead of weighing. Frequent weighing has a negative phsychological effect for most people.

eeww, or eat some chalk, it'll taste better
Not really. High cal clean foods: Nuts Nut butters avocados olive oil seeds many many dishes can be high cal and clean at the same time
"Many many" equals five, apparently
-
Eating clean makes it easier to eat fewer calories. Lots of high volume, low calorie foods. Eating less processed foods and more whole foods and fresh foods makes it easier to maintain fat loss, so it that sense it is better for weight loss.
-
Studies show that those who lose gradually keep it off longer. Losing slowly is good. Congrats!
-
If you include exercise calories in your TDEE instead of logging them, then you are eating back your exercise calories. It's the same thing.
-
It jumpstarts the placebo effect.
-
Not a coincidence. Losing fat too quickly often leads to regaining it. Losig gradually will give you a better chance at permanent change.
-
4 pounds is 3 weeks is fast probably too fast unless you are very obese. Don't speed it up, slow it down.
-
Agreed. People are different and goals vary, but the best evidence suggests that delaying breaking an overnight fast is more likely to help weight loss than hurt it.
-
It's not healthy or sustainable because it is way too few calories for a man your size.If you prefer a monotonous diet that's fine, but you have to eat enough to live. At least BMR including exercise.
-
Don't start fresh tomorrow, start fresh this instant. If you have an eating disorder, be careful of getting into a pattern of binging and exercising. It's not a question of whether it works but of if it is healthy for you in the long term. Best wishes.
-
Why is that?
-
Eat more calories, lose gradually, you'll feel better. It will be easier to keep it off and you'll feel better about yourself long term. Best wishes.

Gradually increase the distance of one run each week until you get to 8 or 9 miles. A 10K will feel easy at that point. Walk/run if needed, but gradually diminish the walking. Do sprints for the other run with a mile of easy warmup and cool down. Vary the sprint distance, 400m, 600m, 800m, 1000m, 12000m, 1600m (a mile),…

Extreme calorie restriction (1000 or less per day for a week or longer in the OP's case) will not kick start a diet. It's a bad idea no matter when the calories are consumed, eating disorder or no eating disorder. That is a completely different issue than IF, which does not involve a larger than normal net caloric…

To clarify, the content of the supplements that the body needs for nutrition is not vegan or non-vegan unless you are talking about B12. The supplement itself could contain animal geletin. Two different concerns.
-
It would be a mistake to speed it up. Steady and gradual will increase your chances of keeping it off for good.
-
It's not fasting unless you consume a normal number of calories after. Otherwise it's called starving.
-
They are both worthwhile, neither should be the primary focus in fat loss. Weight loss shouldn't happen quickly, it should happen pernanently.
-
Other than B12 there really are no vegan supplements. It's just marketing. Just eat a lot of fresh produce and whole grains and legumes. Any OTC supplement will do the same as another. Read the label. Have a source of B12, nutritional yeast is probably easiest and tastiest

Weigh everything. Re-dedicate yourself to measuring accurately. That is the likely culprit.
-
Canned beans or lentils with spices and fresh veggies or greens added.
-
how are you measuring food? Do you use a food scale?
-
Another alternative, salad with no cheese, dressing on the side. Also, they might have a vnegrette dressing that is not on the menu.

Your loss of an inch is not from ab work, not possible. You have lost an inch of fat. With the small amount you need to lose, that's good progress for 6 weeks. Be patient, keep it up, you are doing well.

Baked parsnips with chili powder and curry.
