  • I eat a salad before dinner almost every day, and I make sure it's a big one. 2 cups shredded romaine, 1 cup spinach, tomato, cucumber, avocado (if my "main" is smaller), maybe a mushroom or two. I'm usually pretty full by the time the "main" comes around, and tend to eat much less of whatever that may be. I also…
  • Love, love, love, LOVE this. I completely agree with the mental/emotional wall people seem to run into time and time again. Definitely added to my feed :)

  • Feeling a bit better today, but still curious about those upper back stretch ideas.
  • This! :) I bought my Polar FT4 at Sportchek and it is absolutely the greatest thing!
  • It doesn't hurt to give it a try! It's on YouTube, so give it a go and see how you find it. I did the 3rd level with my brother's girlfriend last week and that girl is FIT. Bootcamp, cardio boxing and zumba every week. She was sweating buckets when we finally got to the warm-up. Jillian knows how to work your body over.
  • Awesome blogs, you guys!! I just started one :) www.losingbaggage.ca
  • I just started mine :) http://www.losingbaggage.ca
  • My HRM says I burn between 130 and 190 calories based on how hard I work, but if I log it at circuit training, it gives me around 290 calories burned.
  • The 20 minute circuit training option gives me just a bit less than double what my HRM says I burn. Keep in mind that the estimates here on MFP are often overestimated.
  • Flatout pizza = sosososo good. I didn't read the whole thread, but just in case it wasn't already said... Tilapia Pizza's = Amaaaazing. Using a tilapia loin, cover a baking sheet or pizza tin with tinfoil, lay the tilapia on it. I use 1-2 tbsp of salsa, a smattering of low fat cheese, and then whatever veggies I'm craving.…

  • This!!! A thousand times, THIS. I started the 30DS at the beginning of July and continue to use it on "rest days". I wish I'd taken measurements, because the differences in my body that I can visibly see are craaazy. I've gone from a 36D to a 34C (sometimes D) in a month, and down one pant size. The lbs aren't necessarily…
  • Feeel free to add me as well! I log every day, good or bad, and update often. I swear as much as possible, so if you're sensitive, take that into consideration :P
  • I also have an FT4. I purchased it last week, and it's been awesome!! Super helpful in terms of getting my heart rate up and maintaining it, not to mention the fact that MFP's cardio calorie burns are (accoridng to my HRM and my stats) overestimating by at least 100 calories burned.
  • I'm just going to pretty much repeat what everyone is saying :) Before I bought my HRM, I was inputting my 30 Day Shred as circuit training, which MFP caculated at at least 300 calories burned, however, it's closer to 210 calories burned, if my HRM is recording an accurate measurement. I was burning a significantly lesser…
  • The Magic Bullet is a dream, honestly. Be on the lookout for deals, because I got the deluxe kit (1 lg, 1 sm blender container, 2 small mugs, 2 large mugs, 6 different lids, and the blender attachment) for $48.00 at Costco last month.
  • I took a low-dose BC for 5 years (Alesse), but did not take it for actual BC purposes. In those 5 years I did not gain weight, however, the pills did make me mighty nauseous. I've stayed away from BC pills/shots/implants etc. for the last 3 years, so I couldn't help with the second part of the Q!
  • @Jenni268 Well first! Could you look any more amazing in turqouise? And second, you have a lovely smile!
  • I had been doing the 30 Day Shred for about 3 weeks but was getting quite bored with it, so I started Ripped in 30 two days ago. Gooood I'm sore today, but I really love the Week 1 workout, I feel like a lot more of me is being worked over :) We'll see how Ripped in 30 stacks up compared to the 30DS, but so far I've lost…
  • You are an incredible inspiration, seriously! Absolutely amazing :)
  • :) Open up your diary so we can see what you've been eating
  • This, plus, I always wonder a company functions when the original contact provides a back-up who is also on Vaca. Are you kidding me?
  • I'm not a big fan of the Yoplait Greek yogurt; try the Chobani or the Liberte. I love plain greek yogurt in so many things. Chicken salad, egg salad, smoothies, pasta sauces!!... If I'm feeling like something awful for me, then I'll use it in place of the eggs/oil in boxed cakes.
  • @edna Would agree with the America Ferrera, but I also see a bit of Jessica Alba! Similar eye shape :)
  • You can totally kill this! I started five days ago, and I thought the same thing. "I'm too out of shape. I'm too fat. I hurt too much." It works because it challenges you. I'm 4'11 and 185lbs. I've already lost .5" on my hips and .5" around my belly (IN SIX DAYS). Take a break if you have to, the first couple of days are…
  • I try to shop in bulk for most of the things I eat, as it's less stress throughout the month for me. I buy fresh fruits and veggies that I can freeze for smoothies in bulk, and then freeze tablespoons of greek yogurt for individual frozen servings. I buy all of my flours, cereals, nuts and dried fruits in bulk as well,…
  • I'm so inconsistent with workout times. Right now I'm doing some walking and the 30 Day Shred. I normally walk right when I get up, or take the dog with me right before I go to bed. I tend to throw the 30DS in wherever I can. 9AM, 1PM, 1AM. I start a full time job this week, so it should be interesting to see how it…
