  • It also depends on how much you have to lose. You will not lose as much if you only have 40lbs to drop compard to say... Myself who has to drop 200. Also... For females.. TOM will cause a stall or even a gain. At least that's what I have read :-)
  • 23 weeks 110lbs 10 inches off waist 4 inches off neck off ALL diabetes meds off ALL hypertension meds off ALL high cholesterol meds 90lbs to go !
  • once I got into a groove then loosing the weight has been EASY. Maintenance on the other hand scares the crap out of me!
  • It really makes a difference. This isn't my first time doing MF. I got the book this time and.....well.... it really put my mind in the right place. I'm kinda suprised MF doesn't push it more as it seems to really be the key to making this change work long term.
  • Like it or not, this is the correct answer.

  • only issue is when I have more than 1 bar per day. its not the soy in the bars that are the problem for most its the sugar alcohols.
  • I used to let things soak overnight but recently I purchased a little corning ware crock with a lid. now i boil the water, add the packet and cover for 1 hour. seems to work just as well. i have read where people do the same thing with a thermos.

  • I'm one of the weird ones i think in that i have salads pretty much everyday with some sort of protein. I do miss using my crock pot though so I may have to give this a shot. In your recipe above..... what is the serving size?
  • I have read where people buy a cheap-o over the door pocket shoe hanger thingy. Both seem like a good idea for the space challenged
  • Do the plan by the book for at least 1 month. Do not game the system The first 3 days are hard. Get a food scale and weigh everything in your L&G!!! Like most everybody..myself included... no diet has worked long term because we only changed to get the weight off than reverted back to bad habits. Medifast and for that…
  • My advice is this..... no "diet" in the world is going to work if you learn nothing from it. Will you lose lots of weight quickly on Medifast? YES you will if you follow the program. Will you keep it off? statistics say you won't. 85% of dieters gain the weight back. Why is this? because people, myself included don't…
  • I believe 1/2 cup almond milk (unsweetened) counts as a condiment. If you have a Trader Joe's nearby get their almond milk. I have tried all the brands and theirs is the best. their unsweetened vanilla almond milk is 20 kcal/ 0.5 cup
  • when i'm at my goal weight my plan is to transition into paleo. its the kind of food i like anyways. except i might add in some dairy. i have gotten some l&g ideas from paleo recipe/sites
  • for mac n cheese.... i nuke the water for 2 min. add the packet. cover and let sit for 30min. nuke 2 min. cool and eat. works prety well. I add hot sauce also. what also works is mixing it up the night before and letting it soak overnight. if you encounter something you don't like... put it aside for a week and come back…
  • you can also go to the general medifast board and ask a question in the general exercise support forum. here is the link http://forums.medifastcommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?31-Exercise-amp-Training-Assistance
  • lately i have had a hankering for wine
  • Lots of good ideas here. I like the taco salad. I do not use prepackaged taco seasoning as it has too many carbs. I make my own which is very simple. I had to switch up my L&G to keep it interesting. The side benefit of experimenting and analyzing is that I get to learn a new way of approaching food and prepare myself for…
  • I like your idea of official entries showing first. I have gotten in the habit of checking every MFP entry with a couple of different sources. Too many liberties are taken by some when entering. Net Carbs?? I try not to go by net carbs but I would be lying if I didn't say that i do look at it sometimes. The old "Atkins"…

  • As with everything, there are good coaches and there are terrible coaches. I have seen a couple of good ones who post on the MF boards and then there are couple who have no business doing it as clearly they are in it for the money. My best example is a "coach" who recently started a thread on the other boards about how to…

  • I'm on week 12. I have lost 60lbs. I have lots more to lose hence the big number. This is not my first time but it is the best I have felt about myself and this program. Before I figured I would lose the weight and than go back to eating fried chicken and a 12 pack of beer each day. Essentially not learning a damn thing…

  • I used to work 3rd shift. When I need to get to sleep I would take melatonin. Worked pretty good for me. It's cheap and not a drug so worth a try. When I wake up hungry now I just don't eat. While its true we have to listen to our bodies, sometimes our bodies have to listen to us.
  • Planning has helped me tremendously.
  • Just a thought but maybe pulverize in a ninja/magic bullet blender first to decrease the size of the bits
  • If it were me, I would stay low carb and avoid the soy that is in MF meals until my stomach was feeling better. instead of rice eat salad and so on.

  • I made mine with 1/2 cup almond milk last night. this was after letting it soak for 2 hours. Very creamy
  • Belts are great aren't they!! I love using my belt as a gauge for weightloss. It can tell a story that the scale cannot. My current belt has 7 holes in it. I'm currently on the last one. When I started I was on hole 6.

  • personally I would back off the exercise for a couple of weeks. Just my opinion and it doesn't cost anything The loss is going to be slower with what you have left to lose. As far as the carb thing goes....it is correct that everyone is different. I lost my first bunch of pounds staying under 80. now I have slowed down so…
  • did you start exercising? If so, how much? How much do you have left to lose? These may not sound important but if your stalling they are the "go to" questions. As far as your coach is concerned... I suggest hitting up the MF boards. there are some good coaches over there who post regularly. its very easy to change your…
  • how many bars per day are you eating? I can only handle 1 per day due to medigas. it is the sugar alcohols that cause this
