I have been in this situation due to work lunches. I usually start with a huge plate of steamed broccoli, drink a full glass of water, have a small bowl of egg drop soup and then usually im full and eat something later. If you get a second plate, stick to non-breaded chicken in brown sauces. Dont eat the white rice!

Thanks All! I cant give up PB so Paleo is not for me. I do like the snack idea though so I printed out a list of the top 75 paleo snacks. I think I will continue a South Beach-ish/Mediterranean thing.

I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Natural Whey Vanilla Its the cleanest I have seen. When you buy from box stores you really need to be wary of additives/filler/and sugar levels. Most of the brands are loaded with this stuff. I dont know Target's brand but worth comparing the label.

First, best wishes in your recovery Not sure if you have access to a blender or blender ball, but its great mixed with some milk and/or protein in a shake.
