I have a TV in front of my television and tape my favorite shows.... then, I only allow myself to watch those shows while I'm on the treadmill. Also, try mixing up your routine- try different inclines, skip sideways on the treadmill, or even go backwards on an incline.

Yeah, I learned that it doesn't automatically adjust your calories as you lose weight, so each time you do lose weight, you have to go to goals (not change anything), then re-save, and it'll change your calories.

Milk is an easy way to add good calories. Also nuts...
-
Good luck to you- you can do it! Feel free to add me as a friend if you like.

Congratulations to both of you on your weight loss- I'm sure you'll meet your goal after your wedding! Your plan sounds great- I'm also a bit nervous about maintenance!
-
Great job! Keep up all your hard work!

Yes, what MFP gives you as your daily calories "should" allow you to lose the 2 pounds a week without excercise. Even though you set a goal of how much you're going to exercise each day, the site doesn't actually take exercise calories into account until AFTER you've done them...

I'm going to tape it, then watch it next Friday- having some girls over and we're going to have cake to "help them celebrate!"

Maybe your system got used to having low-calorie healthy meals, and eating whatever you wanted kind of "shocked" it into moving.... I don't think continuing to eat like that will have continued good results, though, so maybe if you start eating less/healthier again, the scale will continue to move....

I try to take one or two days off exercise a week, and at least one day off of low-cal eating. I still count my calories on those days, but am ok if I'm several hundred over. Actually, having MORE calories one day a week/every other week can actually be good for you and bust you out of a plateau, if your body is used to…

It could be that you're eating too little and your body is trying to hold onto the weight. Be sure to never go under 1200 calories (guys should be at at least 1500) and eat back "some" of your exercise calories. Good luck!

I had a piece of store-bought Brownie Mint Blast Pie. Thought it was ok, but when I entered it on MFP, it was almost 600 calories. Wasn't THAT good! Also, I love home-made mashed potatoes- learned that the way I like 'em, they're almost 400 calories a cup, and I usually eat 3-4 cups!

Congrats to you- aren't all the changes just so exciting? Keep up the good work!

Try chewing spearmint gum- absolutely no other taste goes with spearmint, so while chewing it, it's really hard to be thinking about munching on a chocolate peanut butter cup or fried chicken....

I fill it out everyday, usually after I eat. However, I have tried planning out the NEXT day a few times, and it has really helped me stay on track for that day- I kind of feel like if it's already down, I must eat it and not add anything else, which works for me!

Greetings to you, and good luck! I'm sure you can do it!

I'm in a Biggest Loser competition in my school system- we each put in $10, and whoever's lost the most percentage of weight loss at the end gets it all. Helps keep us motivated- I won the last round. In response to a previous poster, I don't think it makes us aim for extreme weight loss- I think I lost 14% over 12 weeks,…

Plie squats (also sometimes called sumo squats), where you point your toes outward and then squat. Curtsy squats (take one leg back and behind the OTHER leg as you do a squat movement), lay on the floor and do one side at a time of inner-thigh lifts (inner thigh should be pointed towards the ceiling, jog/skip SIDEWAYS on…

You look wonderful! Congrats on your accomplishment and all your hard work!

Just eat what you can- don't worry about it, and feel better soon!

An easy way to start (that costs nothing) is to just walk- walk around your house or your neighborhood, then slowly increase your distance and/or speed. You could also invest in some 3 and 5 pound weights to start toning. Good luck to you!

I have that (but not consistently) when I do various types of exercise- not sure if it's the humidity, how much water is already in the body, etc. So, sounds like you're normal, especially if your doctor's not worried!

One or two a week, although if I really feel like I'm on a roll, I might take NO days off and vary the routine- I do so much cardio that then maybe one day I'll only do upper body and abs, so I'm still exercising, but givingmy legs the day off.....
-
I think you look great, too! I'm the same height as you, and my goal weight is 5 pounds heavier than your starting weight...... Must be those different body types you talked about! I would maybe recommend toning (if you're not already doing it). That'll tighten things up even more, give you more definition, but wouldn't…

You can do it as circuit training (but only count the actual 18 minutes of working out, NOT the warm-up, cool-down). For level one, it wasn't too difficult for me, so I actually split it into the minutes of strength training, aerobics & abs to get lower calories, as I didn't really feel I burned as much as circuit training…
-
You're awesome! Thanks for the bright start to my day!

I usually put DVDs like that down as "aerobics, general," but see how hard YOU'RE working, and put down what's appropriate for you.

It could be that your body is getting used to the elliptical, so you could try something different or step up the pace. When I do my elliptical, I burn a little over 10 calories a minute, but walking FAST for me only burns 5, so I usually aim for the elliptical. I wouldn't put too much stock in the weight after exercise…

I log my Viactiv, just so I can make sure that I'm really meeting my calcium goals for the day. I don't log my other vitamins....

I heard great things about it, but still waited over a year to get it. I LOVE it! We started with the 2 DVDs at a time, then moved to one once we got internet at home and could also watch the streaming video. It is SO worth the cheap price, and now we see all the movies we used to have to see in the theater for a way…
