I'm assuming you drank a ton of water during your workout yesterday, right? Just that could be it! Also, even if you weigh in every day, you should only "count" one weigh in a week, as our bodies can fluctuate a HUGE amount in weight each day, and looking at it weekly (weighing at approximately the same time, wearing the…

Sometimes I just give in and start fresh the next day. Everybody needs a break!

Be sure you're doing cardio along with strength training/weights. Don't go below 1200 calories. Good luck!

I've seen this exact question on here before with some good responses- do a search for "protein" and hopefully you'll have your answer!

The best thing would be to ask your doctor for specific exercises you can do- he/she knows exactly what medical issues you've got going on, and can direct you to the right path. Good luck!

Just think of it as a bad day, and you'll do better tomorrow. I also have some days where I am WAY over on calories (as in 2000, because I also can't "just have one.") Just start fresh from NOW, and try not to let it continue until tomorrow. One day isn't so hard to get over, when it gets to be a bad week (as I've had) or…

What are your calories set at? It could be that you're eating too little... Be sure to eat at least 1200 a day, more with your exercise...
-
Congrats! You've done a great job! Keep up the good work!

Chicken (or other meat), beans (I usually get the package of 15 bean soup, cook it & drain it, then have a cup of mixed beans a day), nuts, eggs (or egg whites), yogurt, etc. Basically, anything that "had a mother" is protein, as well as nuts, beans, and some other plants...

I break it down into what I'm actually doing- for example, I log the jumping jacks, etc. as aerobics, general, the weights/squats as strength training, and the sit ups as calisthenics. I WOULDN'T log the entire video as calisthenics, cause calisthenics burns a TON of calories, and I really don't think the video is…

Maybe a good smack would help! Or at least help you feel better! ;o) Just keep doing what you know you need to do! I get the same thing from my mom- if I'm chubby, I'm very unhealthy and need to lose weight, and if I lose weight, I'm suddenly anorexic and she's concerned. Sigh...

At the very top of your screen, hit the blue "exercise" tab, then under cardiovascular, hit "add exercise," then type in "walking" in the blank. It'll give you tons of options- just choose the one that you think is closest to the speed you were moving- a few even give you hints, like walking 3.0 mph is like walking a dog,…

I live in the middle of nowhere, so I finally just ordered them from Amazon.

Yep, go for it- you might be pleasantly surprised at the results! Good luck!

Yes, just "override" the system by typing in the number of calories your HRM says you burned, then you'll see how many calories you've got left, etc. That's good to know- I should check into one of those!

I'm 5'8" and started at 192, with a goal of 145 as well. I'm currently around 155ish. Did it by sticking with MFP and logging daily, even if I didn't like my total at the end of the day. Also found a workout buddy to work out with 4 days a week, and try to work out about 6 days a week total, varying types of exercises, and…

When you set your goals, this site asks how active you are on a daily basis, etc. Then when you tell the site how much you want to lose each week, it'll tell you how many calories to aim for a day. As on what you should eat, the food pyramid (which I believe you can find many of if you do a google search and look at any of…

I do the same thing and feel horrible about it! But, you have to remember that that is what you've done for TODAY, and tomorrow is a new day (and tonight you still have an opportunity to eat healthy/well at dinner). Don't let just today discourage you so much that you quit- look how far you've come and tell yourself that…

I've tried the Shiratake ones, and didn't really like them- couldn't get rid of the almost fish-like taste, even when mixed with sauce. I've heard of others that really enjoy them, though, so give 'em a try and see what you think!

I've been reading a lot of books on the subject lately, and most say that after the first trimester, you should aim to eat 300 more calories a day than when you're on maintenance level, and definitely NOT try to lose weight after the first trimester. However, if you're eating what you should, you can definitely work on…

Wooohoooo! Isn't that an awesome feeling to know that what you've accomplished can be seen by others? Keep up the good work!

It will if you put it under "cardio" then "strength training." You're probably logging it where it only lets you do reps, which is how some people like to keep track, but you can do both if you want to keep track of calories burned- it gives me about 4 calories a minute.

I usually do WAY more exercise than I set MFP at, and I just leave it, because it DOESN'T calculate your allowed food calories on exercise until after you've ACTUALLY DONE the exercise, if that makes sense. So, you can up it on your goals if you do it on a consistent basis, but it still won't change your allowed calories…

congrats! good luck on making it to your goal!

I've tried to be healthier, and in general, am doing much better on eating fruits and veggies, but I try not to get too frustrated- if I eat well all day, I feel like I can have what I want for dinner (within reason), and if it's something that's "not good for me," so be it- just keep in mind that it's the total calories…

I'm sorry your family isn't being supportive, but good for you for taking the negative energy and putting it to good use, rather than just letting the negativity cause you to fall of the wagon. Keep up the good work!

Welcome, and good luck to you! This site is awesome. You can do it!!!

Yes, definitely do-able! 3.5 months is 14 weeks, and on a good diet and exercise program, you should easily be able to lose 1.5 pounds a week, which'll have you hit your goal. Good luck!
